Earlier this summer there were news stories linking vitamin D to reduced rates of all cancers (except skin cancer). Now the results of other Vitamin D studies are linking sun exposure and supplements to lower rates of other deadly disease states as well as up to a 7% longer lifespan.

Nah, I'm rather fond of my pale translucent-ness. I'll continue to drink my milk.
Actually, I burn like a mo-fo and there's a history of skin cancer in my family so when I am out enjoying the sun, it's with heavy sunblock and for short periods of time.

As you say, there's still the skin cancer thing, which as a disease is really on the rise lately. Try to get your dose from plain old food: fatty fish (tuna, mackerel, etc.), eggs. Cod liver oil if nothing else is available.
People who tan too much, in their 30s and 40s they tend to start looking older than they are, IMO.

You really don't need that much sun exposure to get your needed dose of vitamin d. like 10 minutes a day...

Exactly. You can put sun screen on after you get your Vitamin D fix.
A radio show on the cancer benefits of Vitamin D said that the same number of people who die from skin cancer every year die every day from all other cancers.

Wow.
Going outside for a bit of sunshine and fresh air is actually good for you.
Who woulda thought?

Don't tell my Mom. I hate it when she gloats.

Usually Ed gets the 'most fup comment of the day' award. Today, you beat him by a mile.
Kudos.
(And I really should stop showing her my cock. I'm just so darn proud.)
