First it was the French (well, technically they were French-Canadian), and now....the Aussies grrrrrrrr *mean face* *mean face*

So yeah, some dude in Australia was/is selling two early copies of Halo 3 on ebay. I'm not going to post a link, but if you really want too see it, it's not hard to find.

One auction was removed, but the other is still going. This time, it's not a fake auction or anything, he has pics of himself with the disk and instruction booklet.

So anyways, if anybody here wants to avoid Halo 3 spoilers, avoid any and all Halo related websites/ forums!

And PLEASE don't post any story spoilers on this board!

anyway microsoft banned him from xbox live till the year 9999 AD.

LOL, what's great is that Microsoft actually banned his console, not just his account! About time the XBL guys started banning consoles! It is way too easy for these kids to just attain new accounts.

But yea, it was inevitable that Halo 3 would be leaked upon the public. I had Bioshock ruined for me (story-wise), so I am now staying away from any and all Halo related forums and stuff. Normally, I don't care if the story of a videogame is leaked, but for Halo 3, I want to be surprised.

Yeah, and that just killed Troika Games, because they were also going to use the same Source engine from Valve as the basis for their game Vampire: Bloodlines, and the delay finished them off.

So now Norway is selling the game. Or at least, they have sold 5 Halo 3 games. They claim that the "sales were a mistake" yet "those that bought the game are serious gamers." Wtf?

Also, I'm avoiding the Official Halo 3 thread, due to spoilers.

Yup. Every time Valve made significant changes, the Vampire guys had to rush to make changes, too. They got out a couple of official patches for the serious problems, then Troika folded. Unofficial patches (you can get them at Planet Vampire) have fixed all the other problems except the memory leak, which eventually causes some visual stuttering after a few hours of continuous play.

FYI:

In general, the best way to report a poster is to click the report icon(the triangle with the exclamation point) located on the bottom left of the post. Complaining in public does not tend to help much, in my(admittedly limited) estimation.

It's not my sole decision to make; other mods are consulted, and a super-mod or administrator has to approve the banning. Given the nature of the internet, there's no way that all of us involved are going to be online at the same time.

And while I appreciate how this sort of thing can get everyone upset and angry, I'd really appreciate people refraining from calling other posters here 'troll' or 'douche' or somesuch... just because someone else is being a jerk doesn't excuse everyone else from not following the rules.
