Nah, this looks like the Cable solo series my LCS guy was talking about.
This is the start of Alonso's "make Cable BIG in 08" campaign.

i think the nature of the lcs guy is to talk completely out of his ass.
but maybe its cable solo and another series.
i'm still betting we get 2 carey books out of this instead of one. at least hoping.

The one on the arm w/ flesh, makes sense b/c that arm is more easily damaged. Falling debris, bullets, other random crap that could fall on, be thrown at or pushed into. The metal one, being metal, isn't as easily damaged.

Meh, why is the Cable reveal that big?
I honestly wish that a character could "die" and show up later organically without a big shock about it. Cable's fate wasn't revealed and they thought he was dead. It's not like he died years ago and boom he's back.

LOL. It's true. Cyke's never interesting by himself, it's always his supporting cast that's more interesting. I haven't found him interesting since the Fall of Avalon story over 10 years ago.
I'm glad Cable's coming back, but it does feel awfully soon for this announcement to be made. Didn't he die about two months ago?
Anyways I'll be interested to see if he's actually coming back to Cable & Deadpool, will be starring in a new book, or both. I hope he's coming back to C&D, but the solicits there sound like it'll be a Deadpool only book for a while.
In that picture Cable's arm looks much more robotic than the usual TO-virus/mesh based arm. I wonder if this rendition will be more of a cyborg-Cable? Or perhaps it's just the artist drawing his arm like that.

Mike Carey should TOTALLY do his maxi-series about Sage.
Someone could stick a magnet on her forehead and kill her, thus various X-Men and related characters must team-up to discover who the murderer is. DETECTIVE DAZZLER AND INSPECTOR ROGUE ARE ON THE CASE!
Meanwhile, Carey could flashback to tell brief Sage vignettes that make her seem likable until eventually it's revealed she actually put the magnet on her own forehead. GASP!

Brett, where have you been?
Hey :D
I've been locked away with Darren Hayes new album...25 tracks is a lot to learn ready for seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall next month woo hoo!
My brain can only register excitement for one thing at a time, hence I havn't been doing much of the ol' comic board-ing for a few weeks...but you know, I'm liking being entirely spoiler-free.
Although the New X-Men threads here and at Comixfan are distressingly neglected.
And these new titles smell of poo. Rahne taken away from X-Factor = dire dog shit.

It was a joke since they took it down. I just throw his name out there.
It was too good to be true anyway.

Hmm... is it me, or do the X-Force costumes with masks/red eyes remind anyone vaguely of the "Shadow X-Men" or whatever from New Excalibur? And also, it sorta reminds me of the "Ascension" episodes from X-Men Evolution, where similar masks (but yellow eyes instead of red) were used to control Storm, Xavier, Mystique, and Magneto...
The uniforms scream "emotionless/soulless killing machines" more than anything else...
It leads me to think that they're not on this team of their own free will, and that someone's pulling the strings. Perhaps some covert government facility? I think more will become clear once we find out what their mission statement is, and who's behind the founding of this team.
Oh yea, I hope that Deadpool still winds up in a monthly title somewhere. He and his supporting cast are too fun to let go into limbo... I know he's going to have a few stories in "Marvel Comics Presents", but 8 pages at a time isn't enough. :(

The book idea seems good, but I hope Deadpool is either in a book or getting his own.

Eh you never know. He might be in Cables book along with Bishop and Forge and other such characters to make me care about it even less.
I'm predicting my X-titles will be far fewer after Messiah...

Man, Warpath looks like a giant in that last team shot, beside short-guy Wolverine and two petite chicks.
I was going to say I'm surprised that Laura, Rahne, and James are being taken out of three titles where they really work, but since Wolverine isn't being restricted to just this one, that may be the case for them too (otherwise, it must have been painful for Kyle and Yost to let go of Laura, and David seems to have an ongoing story with Rahne that he'd have to wrap up lickety-split; and Warpath is the one character from Brubaker's run that everyone really likes).
I must admit, I'm quite interested to see what the X-scape looks like in the future.

Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CABLE is free!
After four years I can finally read a book he is in without having to skip half of it.
Thank you again, Marvel!!!!!!!

X-Force? Is this supposed to make me excited? I'm rolling my eyes. Because we need another book with Wolverine. I don't care what "role" he plays, my eyes are rolling.
A whole world of Word. And what's that? Wolverine will also appear elsewhere? Never! Who would have thought it.
X-Force, not interested. Three characters I don't care about and one who would have benefited far more from staying with the New X-Men.
And a Cable book? Wow, how much do I not care about that. The only time he's ever been anything near bearable is when he was Deadpool's straight man. Even then, I found myself skipping over his self-righteous, overwraught dialogue.

I DO NOT APPRECIATE RAHNE BEING TAKEN FROM X-FACTOR!
But maybe this means Dazzler can join X-Factor.

Those news are just crappy.
All those characters in black leather. Is CC writing it?

Who says they're not going with her?
I'm not that excited about this myself. I don't hate the characters but none are my favorites.
X-23 needs to be fed.

I agree. If they are taking her from the team, then i hope they have some well thought out and important plans for her. If she is going to be on a team of killers, then they really need to let us know how she got to that point and make it convincing.
I think Peter david could do a great job with Dazzler. I don't know what their role will be after the shake-up, but if its still some sort of bridge between the mutant and non-mutant worlds, Dazzler would be perfect for that.

Rahne hasn't done anything of note in X-Factor since the first issue.
