Hi all:
I'm a bit of a non-tech noob, so please forgive this question:
How do I embed an image in my posting on the CBR forum? For example, if I have a jpg file of a comic-book page I would like to post along with my text, how the heck do I do that? Do I use this "manage attachments" button? Tried that and failed. What am I doing wrong??
Thanks for any help!

Have the url of your image handy.
On the formatting toolbar in the reply box you will see an icon that looks like a picture postcard. Mouse hover will give you the alternate text "Insert Image": click on it.
Paste the Image url into the handy field that appears. Click "OK".

Ok, thanks, but what if I don't have an url? What if I have an image on my harddrive, like a .cbr image of a comic book page?

The only way you can post an image in a post is that it has to be a hosted image ie on a website somewhere. There are hosting sites such as flickr and photobucket that you can upload images to. But they have to be image files such as jpg or gif.
You can attach images to a post, but users have to click on the attachment to see it. And again they have to been image files such as jpg or gif.
Keep in mind that copyrighted material is to be kept at a minimum on these forums per the admin's guidelines on the Q&A forum.

You can attach images to a post, but users have to click on the attachment to see it.Not quite true. I found out recently (quite by accident) that after you attach the image, you get a new result from the attach images button (the paperclip, westcoast). If you click on the attachment name, you'll get a bit of code wherever your cursor was in the message. It comes out as... image#...but when you post, it appears like a linked image would. Like so:
36283
Pretty nifty, eh?
I'm not sure what all the limitations are, but with a gif, it automatically posts a thumbnail that you can click on for the full size image, but for a jpeg you get a non-clickable picture at the right size. (Size limitations for all images are 620x280.)
