Was mine the only copy with several pages printed off-register (colors not lining up with the black lines) in the middle? That's annoying.

oooooooooo........... that's bad. No, my issue was ok. Sorry Augie!
Can I get into SPOILER area now?
Ok... honestly, not that much happened. It wasn't the BIG change (yet) that I was expecting. After listenign to your podcast I heard what people are "expecting" and I hadn't heard that at all.
What I'm guessing is that it has something to do with the Loki issues around #503-504. Loki gave Spidey a rune to use to call him when he needed it. Well, I think that now's the time he could use a favor. And I think that he's going to use it to get "one more day" with May or something.
Maybe try to change May from getting shot or something. And - this is just me guessing - that will affect something with MJ.
How's that for an "out there" idea? Anyone else have any ideas???

Jamie - that's a pretty good theory. I'm impressed that you remembered the Loki issues. I'm sure that that story was buried behind some stupid "iconic" cover that had nothing to do with the interior pages so I have trouble recalling the stories in that era.
My copy was fine as well - looks like an isolated incident for you Augie. I'm not sure that I really enjoyed this issue. I didn't really care for the art and was there a need to charge $3.99 for this issue? 24 pages of art + 1 credits page (even though they were already listed on page#2) + 10 pages of filler + next issue cover art. Couldn't this all have been condensed down into a standard 22 page comic book? Marvel seems to be getting pretty bad with jacking the price up on special events books and then loading them with excess stuff.
The tribute page to Mike Wieringo was a nice touch though.

Thanks. And I have that ability to remember all kinds of crap with some books. One friend wonders how the hell I remember crap like this when he forgets last week's books. :p
And the covers were a bit of each, ionic and actually resembling the interior - which is another reason I remember the story. Even I'm surprised I got the issue #'s right!

From the review of #504: (http://www.spiderfan.org/comics/reviews/spiderman_amazing/504.html)
Loki says he owes Spidey one and gives him a token to cash in when he is in need. Spidey heads off thinking that its cool to have a god on his side.
If you guys have read / watched JMS stuff before, he often works in these LOOOOONG arcs and pulls stuff from years back. It's a long shot, of course, but I'd think it would be odd if JMS left a plot thread THAT BIG out there after his run.

Not only will Loki reverse everything, but the Shadows will then come in to take out Aunt May.
And look out for the telepaths!
Sorry for the B5 references.
Good guess, though, Jamie. That sounds plausible to me.

HAHAHAHA! Gotta love a good B5 reference! ;) If I'm right I'm gonna start playing the lottery! :D
The latest Digital comic on Marvel.com is Amazing Spider-man issue 504, the issue with Loki. Normally these comics are put up the week that the corresponding trade comes out. The fact that they have put this issue up this week, years after the issue comes out, is very interesting...
