The flipside of the previous thread.
Who was the crappiest bloodsucker ever on TV or Film?
I'm torn myself.
It's either Mina Harker from "LOEG" who was just ridiculous.
or
Morbius the Living Vampire from the old Spider-Man cartoon. I mean really, he sucked blood.. or 'plasma' through leechy things on his hands. And he was like, pastel green.

Either Leslie Nielson's Dracula or one of the countless disposable Vamps from Buffy and Angel.
Either Leslie Nielson's Dracula or one of the countless disposable Vamps from Buffy and Angel.
How can you count Leslie Nielsen in Dracula: Dead and Loving It? Criteria should be that the vampire in question is meant to be taken seriously.

I don't know what you're talking about. They never made a movie of LOEG, and if they did, no one would be stupid enough to turn Mina into a vampire.
That would just be silly.

Dracula from Van Helsing, it's hard to consider Dracula from that movie fearsome when he speaks in that ridiculous accent.
Yet he is no worse than the Dracula from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

My vote goes to Drake from Blade: Trinity. Transgressions include:
-Going by "Drake" instead of Dracula, or any other such fear-inducing vampire name.
-Further chipping away at any intimidating appearance by dressing like a male model.
-Running like hell from the protagonist and using a human baby as a shield.
-Turning into bats, wolves or mist out. Killing snide 14-year-old goths in.
Not just a pathetic vampire, but a pretty awful movie villain.

-Being used as a lapdog by some low class vampire villains who should have been taken orders from him instead.
-Killing a couple of nerds who were trying to pose as vampire slayers
- Actually makes Buffy's Dracula look good by comparison.

The most evil thing he did was destroy a Hot Topic.
Also, he has the single lamest exchange in vampire movie... nay, ANY movie history.

I remember I saw a screening of the movie in LA that was followed by a panel with David Goyer. I'd been to a few of those events and that's the first I'd gone to where people didn't applaud at the end of the film. I actually felt bad for Goyer when he walked on stage.
Then I remembered he bombed Pearl Harbor. I mean directed Blade 3. Why do I get those confused?

Andy Warhol's Dracula was totally lame. He could only feed on the blood of virgins, which became problematic when the local gardener slept with all the local women. Dracula died a pathetic death after the gardener chopped off his arms with an axe.
The very worst vampire of all time is once again Dracula, as portrayed in the book The Historian. A historian kills Dracula by shooting him with a gun, because apparently nobody ever tried to do that before.

He talked about some of the technical stuff from the move and otherwise didn't really say much and nobody really pressed him when the Q&A came up. He did say he had some issues with Snipes, who was very particular about how he wanted Blade to appear in some scenes.

Like a total tool with no sense of charisma or menace? Why would he want to buck the trend he had going from the previous two movies?

From what I hear Snipes didn't like Blade serving as scout leader to the other lame vampire hunters.
George Hamilton is second. How can you have Dracula with a TAN!
Love At First Bite is a blend of comedy & satire. You're not supposed to take Dracula serious in the movie.
Old Dracula:
David Niven plays Dracula as he lures celebrities to his castle to get their blood. But he must get the correct blood type & such for his comatose wife. He does get the correct blood type from a black woman model to have his wife turn into a black woman herself. She eventually becomes tired of Dracula as he tries to transform her back to a white woman.
Is this a horror or comedy? I don't think the director knew what to do with this turkey. Nothing is funny about this film.

Besides a BAD ASS Dracula, that movie had a BAD ASS hotchick who listened to her BAD ASS iPod while killing vampires. And she did the BAD ASS "Matix" 'come here' hand gesture!
Kidding of course, although the vampire dog did make me laugh.

You pretty much expect Meatloaf to suck, though. As long as he makes it through his lines without swallowing his own tongue, it counts as a win for him. The sight of Ben Kingsley phoning it in while mentally counting the zeros on his paycheck was much more disappointing.

Kraven from Underworld gets my vote for "Worst Vampire". Frankly, I'm astonished that the rest of you could even consider other candidates with that turkey baster of an actor giving vamps a bad name. I cringed every time he had a scene in the first movie. Apparently, the director forgot to point the actor in the direction of the soap opera set where he actually belonged.

I do not fear this man.
Once Bitten (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6EIJbG71SmI&mode=related&search=) (1985): Lauran Hutton is an aging vampire; her long years on the Earth has not stopped the tides of time as her youth slips away, despite her supposedly being an immortal vampire. To keep her youth, she must feed on the blood of a virgin! Not once. No, not even twice. But three times. She also has to bite him in his "sensitive region" below the belt. Jim Carrey plays the clueless virgin as he slowly transforms into a vampire throughout the film:

The female vamp turns into a biddy since her chosen virgin loses his virginity to his long time girlfriend.

I'll have to reiterate everyone's choices of Blade 3, and Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000. Even though I loved Blade I, I'm not so sure about Stephen Dorff -- my 5 year old niece could take Stephen Dorff.
I'm also gonna throw out Roger Daltrey as "Vlad" in the nonetheless enjoyable (but horrid) Vampirella adaptation.
And I'm always ready to defend Peta Wilson's Mina in LXG...
