An HBO series, kind of like The Office meets the Monkees meet Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Scooby Doo*.
Between the oddball behavior and the silly music videos, you will find joy.
A friend of mine told me to give it a try, and I have to say I'm hooked.

but maybe you have to be a starving musician to appreciate it.

tell me somebody is watching this.

(* not like scooby doo, just using the old ______ meet Scooby Doo from the Scooby movies)

Haven't seen the (hopefully not series) finale yet, but the other episodes have ranged from pretty good to outright hilarious. The songs are hit and miss, but there's plenty of humor in regular simple-mindedness of the characters. Murray especially steals the show.

I didn't care for it.

The extremely dry humor didn't work for me (and I usually like dry humor) and the longs occasionally made me chuckle, but they didn't have me rolling.

I love this show... but I've been a fan of these guys since before the show so. It's nice to hear the songs with good production behind them.

HBO has already ordered season 2.

I love Flight of the Conchords. Probably the funniest comedy to debut since ...Always Sunny.... Murray does steal the show, though, with Bret and his animal shirts in second. ("Sometimes I dance when I'm angry.") I'm glad they're getting a second season.

I love this show, it's taken over my number 1 spot for favourite comedy (ousting The Office from the spot).
I've seen all the episodes 3 times already (the finale for some reason didn't measure up to the rest of the season, but oh well, it was still amusing for the most part). I watch the shows on my own right away, then bring in the episode to my office where we gather around my computer at lunch to watch (and then wear out the lines used in the episode VERY quickly during the afternoon), then again later on with my brother. This is a fantastic show. The rewatchability factor alone can't be beat.

Every single character is perfect, not a single wasted one. Mel cracks me up just by standing there grinning.

It rocks.

Plus someone I went to school with was on an episode recently.

I've only seen a couple of episodes, but I like what I've seen. That is the guy from the Outback Steakhouse commercials, right?

I noticed that there is a Flight of the Conchords EP out, I'm really tempted to get it. The "Most Beautiful Girl in the Room" song cracks me up.

I watched the whole season long & loved it. I loved the office meetings, the number one (only fan), and to my surprise, many of the songs were quite good in the vein of Tenacious D without the blatant explicit lyrics.

I wish you would have told me this when it happened two days ago.

It's tolerable. "Above average" would be an accurate description. I'm just ready for the sixth season of Curb.
