I recently just got the first Supreme Power hardcover from Amazon and loved it. I see there's a second hardcover as well, which is my next book to pick up. But from there, it gets a bit confusing. I see TPBs of miniseries, I see TPBs of spin-offs and I see TPBs that were collected into the hardcovers.

For someone late to the game, is there a list out there that breaks down the order of the books, and which are collected into hardcovers?

Thanks. (And if this is supposed to be in the Avengers forum instead, mea culpa. Could a moderator bounce it over there, if so? I wasn't sure where these guys fit in the CBR board structure.)

Order (SC's only - sorry!):

Supreme Power vols 1-3
Doc Spectrum mini (can be read anytime after vol1)
Nighthawk Mini
Hyperion Mini
Squadron Supreme: The pre-war years
Hyperion vs Nighthawk mini (really can be read anytime after the Hyperion Mini).

You're in the right place, no worries.

SUPREME POWER ran eighteen issues. The first hardcover collects #1-12 and the second collects #13-18 and HYPERION #1-5 (which is basically #19-23, story-wise). The series was then relaunched as SQUADRON SUPREME, ran for seven or eight issues, then went on hiatus. The first six issues of the relaunch are collected in the "premiere" hardcover THE PRE-WAR YEARS. And that's pretty much it as far as the main storyline is concerned. Supposedly it'll be starting up again soon with a new creative team.

DOCTOR SPECTRUM fills in some of the character's backstory, but basically covers a lot of the same ground as his scenes in the first hardcover. NIGHTHAWK is a fun (albeit ultraviolent) diversion, but it doesn't really add up to much. I haven't read HYPERION VS. NIGHTHAWK, but I've heard it's decent (for glorified filler).

The only bit of Squadron Supreme that isn't collected (aside from one or two issues of the relaunch) is ULTIMATE POWER, the currently in-progress mini-series crossover with the Ultimate Universe. Think Ultimate JLA/Avengers. It's all right, but suffers a bit from Land's artistic . . . quirks. According to Marvel, it takes place after the relaunch left off and its ramifications will be dealt with by the new creative team (whenever that happens).
