Who has died in the marvel universe over the last 2 years? I am trying to catch up with comics again, I have been out of them for the last 15 years, so I thought I should find out who is dead.
Thanks guys!

Off the top of my head, of people that you'd know, Cap, Goliath, Quasar, Cable, Thanos, and Happy Hogan.
And a buttload of random mutants you wouldn't care about, but I'm betting someone on the X-board shed a few tears for. Cuz they're all a bunch of wimps. Ya heard me!!!

Some of those were over two years ago. Carnage, for instance. New Avengers is on #29, and has a tendency to be late.

I cannot belive they killed Thanos, Carnage and Cable!
They gotta bring Thanos back! I loved when that guy came around to cause trouble, it was always fun!
Come on Marvel!

Thanos has already died at least half a dozen times. Cable pretty close to that as well. Carnage is already coming back, at least to some degree, in Mighty Avengers.

These seem rather recent, but I'm not entirely sure if it was within 2 years ago.

Didn't Punisher kill a bunch of villains in War Journal?
I don't have the specifics to be sure.

I think Punisher killed Tinkerer, Stiltman, Goldbug, Plunderer, Jester, and Jack O'Lantern. Really though a few of those guys might have only been badly injured.

WOW! I'm back after 10 years I didnt know that. So how did Carnage and Cable die last?

Carnage got dragged into orbit by Sentry and ripped in half. I didn't read when Cable died, but I think it had something to do with a big explosion or sinking island or something.

The original Vision died.
There is a new one though made in-part of the old one. However this is not the same character.
Or has it been said that it is?
Good God! Can't anyone stay dead in the Marvel Universe?
Sabertooth and Thanos will return. That's a certainty.
Steve Rogers will probably return...as will Cable, Quasar and a few others.

Hey, look, they killed the Hulk in Hulk: The End, then he must be dead. Oh, no, everyone in the world has died on that story too! So, what the hell we have been reading lately?

It was over two years ago. And since Vision himself was basically the resurrection of two characters, Human Torch and Wonder Man...

Hawkeye was seemingly killed twice, but returned in the New Avengers #26 and became Ronin not long after...still basically clueless about how and why...

He was killed by Scarlet Witch in Avengers Disassembled, brought back to life in House of M, shot Scarlet Witch with an arrow, she healed herself and disintegrated him, brought him back as part of the end of M thing.

Actually, Hulk lived.
The Hulk is so badass he doesn't even die in his own "the end" book!

That pissed me off as well!
The Owl was killed off in the last issue of NA so he can go on the list.

The true answer to this question is "nowhere near as many characters as DC has killed off in the last few years."

Something tells me that Owl aint dead. Or that wasn't the real Owl.

Basically all of those villains killed by the Punisher in PWJ#4 had their deaths undone in an issue of SHE-HULK. "Massive poisoning and many cases of 3rd degree burns" or something.

Well, Bendis did bring him back from the dead in ALIAS (he'd been killed by Paul Jenkins in the Marvel Knights SPIDEY/DD mini some years ago) as the MGH "kingpin." And since they're setting the Hood up to basically be the new Kingpin, I guess he needed to go in order to make the Hood a credible threat...

Here's the thing - the Hood ain't credible. Just some schmoe in a cowl and some nice pressed slacks. :D
The Owl, you just can't keep the man down. Has more lives than Hellcat.
