Marvel Seems to be cranking out the movie deals left and right. With Ironman, followed by Captain America, a new Hulk movie, Thor, and an Avengers film.

So how is DC doing?

I'm aware of the new Batman film coming out, and talk of a live Justice League film, also that Supergirl is going to make an appearance on Smallville. And that their will be animated movie based of Justice League: New Frontier, with Lucy Lawless doing to voice for Wonder Woman among other things.

My question is has anyone heard a peep about anything else specifically...

Is there any further progress on Wonder Woman now that Josh Weadon has backed out?

If not is there any talk about a guest shot of her on Smallville, or has any talked to Bruce Timm about doing a Wonder Woman animated series?

Has there been any stars or a director lined up for Justice League or are they still on the writer stage?

Are there any other DC related TV or movie projects in the works?

It seems like DC is trying to make less movies, but all with quality (if they're succeding is a question people will have to make their own choice on) while Marvel seems to be going for a shot gun effect. Throwing a lot of movies out there with less quality. Anyway, that's just my take. Oh, and no, I haven't heard of anything else coming out.

Everything else from DC is in the early pre-production stages.

JLA has supposedly found a director. Too many rumors going on right now for what direction the movie is heading.

Metal Men has been optioned with Geoff Johns producing.

Jonah Hex has been optioned. Teen Titans as well with Mark Verheiden writing. Captain Marvel has been optioned.

David Goyer has been talking up a project called Supermax, which will put Oliver Queen in a prison for super villains.

I think there's other stuff. I've stopped following it, but these are the last I've read about.

Also, Marvel has been able to crank out movies at a faster rate because they've pretty much licenced their characters to multiple studios (e.g. Spider-Man and Ghost Rider to Sony, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Daredevil to Fox, Hulk to Universal, Blade to New Line Cinema, Punisher to Lions Gate, Iron Man to Paramount, etc.) where as DC is owned by Warner Bros.

I say quality over quantity. While I think Marvel has been putting out a lot of movies about their characters, majority of them have been of really poor quality. That really hurts because I love the Marvel U. I was disappointed with Ghost Rider, Punisher and Daredevil. Those three movies should have been as promising as the first Blade movie, but they were all really poor.

I'm not saying DC is doing a lot of quality work, either. I wasn't remotely interested in Catwoman. I thought Constantine would have been good until I heard Keanu Reeves was going to be doing it and I really didn't like Batman Begins. I thought Superman Returns was better than Batman Begins.
