I hadn't heard that, but the Superman from Kingdom Come shows up in the next issue of JSA. That might be what your talking about. The Starman that is in the JSA book is the same one who was in Kingdom Come too, and he is also origanly Starboy from the old Legion of Super Heroes.

The Kingdom is the sequel to KC no?
Yes, but people have been ignoring it and what it did for years now...

The Kingdom is the sequel to KC no?
For storyline and editorial purposes: YES.
However, I believe the vision and excecution was nothing like Kingdom Come. Yes, it had the same 'core' characters and writer- but then it took a metatextual/conceptual leap. Instead of a continuation of the story of hope, determination, and sacrifice that KC was all about- it basically became a series to (re?)introduce the concept of Hypertime. Unlike Waid's other DC concept of the Speed Force, I don't think Hypertime took off too well- except for being the name of a HeroClix set.
I don't know- color me a little dissappointed in "The Kingdom".

Aw man, The Kingdom sucked balls. Even if Ross came back for the art, whose cares about a stupid character like Offspring?

Kingdom was shockingly bad , considering how awesome KC was .

I remember the Planet Krypton issue being okay, but man. What a waste. Offspring had its charm, but even that was pretty bad overall. The Kingdom #1-2 were the worst of all

I'll reply twice, 'cause that's what I do
I remember heavy rumors of The Kingdom being an ongoing series, with a totally different concept than what the mini/tie-ins ended up giving us. Wasn't it first reported (Wizard or some such?) that The Kingdom would be written by Waid, co-plotted by Ross, and feature the DCU's slow evolution into the future KC world, and peaks into the future at some of the more popular KC characters?
Eh, maybe I just made that up. I dunno. Coulda been cool, though
