Okay, this is pure imagination with no rumour or truth to it. Just for fun. But how would you like it if Final Crisis involved the merging of New Earth with the MArvel Universe? Not the Shazam Universe but actual MArvel (Spider, etc).

Just imagine that TimeWarner buys Marvel. And they decide to finally have a single universe. How would you ahve the post-crisis universe be.

For me, I would forget all that Amalgam thingee. Just revise the history -

Golder Age -

1. Cap, Namor, Torch, Bucky were members of the JSA (maybe have them in the places of the GA Superman, Batman and WW. Cap was the greatest hero of that era.

2. After the war, superheroics ended, Cap was frozen in ice but never forgotten.

Silver Age -

1. A new age begins. Baby Kal-eL is found by the Kents who teach him the values of humanity and making Cap his role-model. Clark grows up idolizing Cap.

2. Superman debuts and people see him as the new Cap. Batman and the others emerge at this time too. Likewise with teh original silver age marvel heores like Iron Man, Hulk, X-Men, etc.

3. JLA forms but with the original members. JLA can stand for Justice LEague of America with two groups ith the codenames of Avengers (strike force response unit) and Defenders (pro-active unit).

4. Superman discovers Cap frozen in ice and rescues him. Cap never joins the JLA but sort of serves as an advisor and role model to Superman. He later becomes mentor to the Teen Titans.

5. Dr Doom is the greatest threat here.

6. Mutants are still feared and the X-Men still turn out the same.

Okay, its lame after writing it out here. But I thought it would be fun. Not much changes, the DC and MArvel events come up the same way except that they all happen in the same continuity.

I would not really want this to happen, but would not mind a shared contunuity by the big 2 in which there really is an alternate universe like this. They could publish a comic book about it monthly and share the profits.

I probaply never make it as a writer, but I sure am interested in how you guys would do it. Any willing contributors?

Ohhh I can't wait for the replies.

All I can think of is how dominant Marvel's villains would be considering they are far more rounded and popular than DC's Villains. DC has the big guns of Lex Luthor, The Joker, Two Face, Catwoman and Darkseid. But Marvel has Dr Doom, Apocalypse, Mr Sinister, Magneto, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Galactus, Phoenix, Sabretooth, Green Goblin, Sentinels.

I'm talking in terms of popularity. That average Joe down the street would know. Or moreso movie man who never reads comics.

I'd do something with that Krona egg. I think that's what it's there for.

...Apocalypse...

Whom promptly tries to imprison Superman in a cell with bars of concentrated sunlight.

Because that's smart. ;)

That would be really cool, except I think Cap should join the JSA. He'd get along well with Alan, Jay, and Ted.

Maybe have Namor and Aquaman as brothers, perhaps even fraternal twins. Namor is born seconds earlier, giving him the claim and the kingdom. Atlantis is ruled by Namor, until develops amnesia and goes missing for decades. During that time, Arthur becomes king, and Atlantis grows in prosperity and loves their sovereign. When Namor returns, the kingdom is split into a civil war between the two kings, until Arthur is banished. He eventually becomes protector of Sub Diego.

DC Death is pretty much completely annoyed by Thanos.

The Eternals are an offshoot of New Genisis, while the Deviants are an offshoot of Apokalips.

Doctor Doom teams up with Darkseid in the single most awesome and kickass alliance in history, where BOTH betray the other almost simultaneously.

That alone would be indescribably awesome.

Eliminate the X-Men turning out the same with the world hating mutants but loving other heroes. That's the one thing about the X-Universe that just irritates me to no end. The X-Men work best when they have their own universe where all super-humans are considered mutants and the public fears/hates all people with extranormal abilities.

Excellent idea. They are both somewhat the same anyway.

The Celestial mythology I prefer to the DC Kronas/Anti Monitor Mythology/Source Wall. So much more mysterious.

Haha awesome. But Dr Doom is just so badass. Darkseid is powerful but Darkseid would even say "hmmm this dude is indeed badass".

If Doom beat the Beyonder then Doom could beat Darkseid.

Oh, right, the Beyonder is just an Inhuman now, never mind.

Original Beyonder wasn't that badass. He was just like an omnipotent little kid.
