Can anyone give me the lowdown on this title?... is it worth a read?... well written?... interesting?... or is Paul Dini's writing a bust on this?... I like the cover art, but how's the flow of the interior art?... does it carry the story well?... will you be buying issue #2, or is this new book not worth the time?... let me have your thoughts, opinions, critiques, overviews, whatever... I've read reviews on it and they seem favorable, but I want to hear from YOU, the comic buyers/readers... what's up with this title and what's YOUR verdict?...

WHOOPS!... didn't know this was an Image book... I originally posted in the Indie section and saw nothing of what I was looking for concerning this new title... now that this has been moved here, I see that there HAS been discussions about the Madame and her story along with some of your assessments... sounds interesting enough to give this book a shot... by the way, is this a limited series or an ongoing one?...

Personally, I found issue #1 to be off to a somewhat slow start, but that could change with issue #2. The writing is fairly good, and Dini does a good job of presenting to the reader the world that Mirage's story is being told in. But unfortunately, it's really too early for me to give this title a recommendation just yet. Although I can say I have enjoyed the single issue that I've read.

I was very excited when I first heard about this book since Dini was writing it. But the concept was a bit different than I originally thought. And then Dini committed to both Detective & Countdown at DC & now MM has been delayed so I dropped it.

I agree with The Joker, #1 was a little slow. I still liked it, and the art is good, but I thought that #2 was a lot better. I wasn't sure that I was going to keep buying it but after #2 I definitely think it's worth the money.

I've read #1 and #2 and loved both. It's on my pull list now unless the writing drops significantly. I'm willing to wait a few months for another issue, it was that good.

HOWEVER, it's only good if you're into the sort of story their depicting.
She's a vigilante akin to the Shadow. A very guy noire mob bosses and criminal underworld setting where a heroine with amazing abilities of illusion uses her powers to put an end to criminal enterprises... Permanently.

What's more the entire story has strange twists, it's hard to even tell if Mirage is truly good or not, I have my suspiscions that she has alterior motives and isn't interested in simply getting rid of the bad guys.

So in short, if you're a fan of those old Grey Ghost/Shadow type mysterious vigilante characters, the ones who make their enemy stare down the barrel of a gun and don't think twice about planting a bullet right between the bad guys eyes pick this up and give it a read.

If you're looking for a sexy heroine who puts the baddies behind bars you're out of luck.

This latest issue rocked!!! I mean, the end was a downer, but the trend continued in this book. Nice. I like the brutality and underlying issues of the characters in this book. It all is happening very fast, so there's not a whole lot of time for them to think, but artist and writer seem to have a great handle on one another in this book. Can't wait for the last of the series(?), in #6!

Really likin' this book. The story suffers greatly from the delays but it's great when it is released.

btw, did you like the ending? How do you think she'll fare, all captured now and disguised no more. I think they are tyring to bring up more of the fact that part of her sister is really alive and may rescue her. :)
