Countdown to title renumberings?

While we all know that "Countdown to Final Crisis" is counting down to a limited series called "Final Crisis" and, I'm sure, most of us suspect that there will be SOME reboots after Final Crisis (if not a company-wide reboot on atleast ONE of the Earths)...with titles such as "Countdown to Adventure", I'm wondering if DC plans on renumbering "Adventure Comics" after Final Crisis, as well as introducing a new "Mystery Comics" title....which "Countdown to Mystery" would currently be counting down to.

If we begin seing such titles as "Countdown to Action" or "Countdown to the World's Finest", I think I may be on to something. :D

What would be neat is if these new Adventure Comics and Mystery Comics were set on other Earths in the multiverse. I don't want Action or Detective reverting to new number 1s but it might be interesting if they turned into Earth 2 titles. Action could star Kal-L and/or Power Girl while Detective could be Earth 2 Robin and Helena Wayne Huntress.

I would buy a second Action each month if it starred Kal-L...interesting idea.

As much fun as a new Adventure Comics would be (with tales of other Legions, perhaps, as a backup story) I seriously doubt DC will restart Detective or Action from #1.

If a multiverse remains after Final Crisis, I assume that DC will still have a Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman title with all adventures taking place on whatever the "Main" Earth will be.

Now, while DC may be very hesitant to begin to renumber such titles as "Action" & "Detective", they may be counting down to these titles taking on a new direction...much as you've suggested with your "Earth 2" idea.

So, I'm still of the opinion that "Countdown to Adventure" and "Countdown to Mystery" will eventually spawn a "new" direction for Adventure Comics post Final Crisis, as well as the introduction to a "Mystery Comics" title.
