Imagine DC decided that the entire current roster of the JLA needed to have solo ongoings. What creative teams would you assign the books for Black Lightning, Red Arrow, Vixen, Red Tornado, Hawkgirl, and Geo-Force?

Ideally, the creative teams should be realistic (i.e. no Alan Moore or talent exclusive to other companies).

Black Lightning
by Tony Isabella and John Romita, Jr.

Vixen
by Gail Simone and Nicola Scott (under the obligation that they bring back her original costume, damnit!)

Red Tornado
by PAD and Todd Nauck ('cause they did the best work with him in the past fifteen or so years)

Red Arrow
by Mike Grell, script and art

Hawkgirl
by Palmiotti and Gray, and Amanda Conner

Geo-Force
by Grant Morrison, and Cully Hamner and J.H. Williams III (Morrison could give Brion the same kind of trial he gave Buddy, and I love Cully's character designs and Williams' paneling and detail with backgrounds)

Hawkgirl

Yes, the corpse of her solo title is still cooling but if she were to get a relaunch, I think it should be a writer with a more youthful voice. How about Oni's Jen Van Meter? For art, I still prefer Steve Sadowski's depiction of the character from JSA's early issues so he gets the nod.

Black Lightning

Tony Isabella cares a lot for his creation so let's give him another go. Art by Freddie Williams Jr.

Red Arrow

Chuck Dixon has had some success writing characters from the Green Arrow family in the past, and he tends to do a good job with street-level, fighting characters generally. I think Jamal Ingle might be a good choice for art.

Red Tornado

Less tired 'I want to be a real boy' android-angst, more crazy science fiction adventure! Stuart Moore writes and Cully Hamner draws.

Geo-Force

Christos Gage writes, with art from Pete Woods.

Vixen

Gail Simone wrote the most appealing appearance of the character I've read in BoP so she gets the writing chores here. Paolo Siquiera re-teams with Gail to provide the art.

I wish they do a Hawkgirl and Red Arrow team book, but if they have to be separate I would do

Red Arrow
Paco Diaz on Art, Winick on Writing(I know people hate winick but his arsenal on outsiders was top notch.)

Hawkgirl
Ed Benes on Art, Johns on Writing

Vixen
Tony Daniels on Art, ??? not sure who I would want to write as theres no one in DC non Meltzer whos made me like her.

You want the original gold fox mask? personally, i never really cared for it. And in general, no more hawkgirl solo titles...

Hawk girl has grown on me in the last few years, the mask looks stupid and if she got rid of the mask completely like the hawkgirl from the JLU show did it be so much better.

But a title with her and roy as a tag team would be highly enjoyable.

and by god please don't change vixens costume from the cool one it is now back to the old crappy one.

For the new Hawkman book, which is said to feature Hawkgirl as well, I'd love to see Palmiotti, Gray, and Bennett all come back. But to be somewhat different, I'll say James Robinson writing with Dale Eaglesham on art. Both are tried and tested in regards to the characters, but neither has had a very long stint with handling them exclusively.

Or, to go a little off the deep end, I really wouldn't mind seeing Tim Truman's take on these Hawks, both in regards to the plotting and the pencils. To this day, the Hawkworld mini remains as one of my favorite comic book stories of all time.

Red Arrow by Judd Winick and Ivan Riese. Winick didn't always write Roy perfectly, but he definitely likes the character and showed a willingness to use skills other then just archery and honestly I can't think of a writer that has ever written Roy faultlessly or with a continuity of character that I can say would do the character any more justice.
