Hello, my name is Jeremy. I started reading Walking Dead, when I bought #30 and 31.
I never knew that Walking Dead is still alive so I'm very excited to get my hands on #40.:D

I thought it was a decent issue. I wasn't blown away by it, but it sure built up some more character on everybody. I would have liked to have seen some "2 weeks later" boxes, or something. And it was very dialogue heavy. I guess I've been spoiled by all the previous issues that seemed like quick-reads.
I'm glad Dale lived. Carl's dialogue regarding the baby was really heartfelt.
After reading this issue though, it pains me to think of the approaching storm. Dale said it himself, he forgot what it was really like to live outside the gates. The group is getting complacent...and that can't be good. Finally, life is "good" for them, and we all know that it's about to come to an end.
Bring on Issue 41.

I enjoy the dialogue and character work, but this issue literally has no walking dead in it. Is this the first issue to be completely zombie free?

Dale surviving a zombie bite made me hate this issue. No one SURVIVES a zombie bite. Kirkman should know better.

That's a good question. I don't think this is the first zombie-free issue. I could be wrong though. I seem to remember having an all-character issue once before. However, I can't recall any other issue that has been this wordy.

Have you ever watched "Day of the dead"?

I'm glad you brought this up. I wanted to talk about it.
The teasers look f'n great! Cannot wait. Harsh times ahead.
And I was thinking the same thing about the cans/zombies. Maybe this is a question better suited for Kirkman on the Image website.
