The Others

Does anyone remember a short-lived Image series called The Others ?

I recall it ran in the mid-90s. It had a hidden society of animals that had evolved into intelligent, speaking creatures. I remember a snake that could speak, and was very devious.

I seem to recall the human world had discovered them and was about to attack their hideaway. (Memory is vague on this.) The series only ran 2 or 3 issues, and then was ended. Does anyone know why it ended so abruptly and who owns the rights? Could The Others ever come back? It had potential.

The Alliance and the original Pact were good too.

Don't think I've got Alliance, but yeah, The Pact was great. Youngblood got a guest appearance and Blacklight was a badass looking character. I thought it was a shame they got an off-panel death in MARS ATTACKS IMAGE but as the original Blacklight got to briefly show up in the SHADOWHAWK series from a couple years back then I suppose the rest of the team could still be alive, somewhere.
