Flash TPB's

Getting back on board and haven't read anything since the late 90's. Waid/Wieringo got me hooked on Flash at the time. What Flash tpb's should I pick up to get caught up? Was also reading Impulse at the time. I understand he became the Flash and is now no longer the Flash because he died. Was this recent? is there a tpb that details this?

Don't think it's come out yet, he just died like 2 months ago. His run was short (13 issues). Really, I don't know what exactly you would want to pick up besides those to get "caught up". Wally went into the speed force in Infinite Crisis, Bart got aged from his trip to the speed force also, came back as the Flash. All you really need to know, though you could pick up Geoff Johns run which was really good, and you might want to if you want to catch up on the whole "kids" thing at least.

Maybe I'll just browse the back issues. Do you know when the Geoff Johns run began?

His ran began I believe around issue 165 and went to...issue 230? Something like that. He may have had a few people do filler issues, but for the most part, I believe it is all his. Plenty of trades for this run, but very good. He did a fantastic job on the Rogues in particular.

I had heard the Rogues was pretty good. My first trip back into a comic store last week the guy tried to push that tpb on me.

I really liked all of the Johns run. Wonderland, Rouges, Blitz, and Rouges War are my favorites. Also look for the Iron Heights one shot.
