Dwayne McDuffie knew he only had one year with Marvel’s first family and squeezed in as much as he could before Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch grabbed the keys to the Fantasticar in “Fantastic Four.”

Cool. I figured this the plan all along. Considering Millar has been writing it since December of last year.

I cant wait till january.
That's cool.
I know some people were worried that McDuffie got the boot to make way for Millar. It's nice to know all this was planned out and no one got the short end of anything.
And honestly... I prefer Millar on Fantastic Four and McDuffie on Justice League. McDuffie's stuff on Justice League Unlimited was AWESOME... easily the best superhero cartoon I've ever seen (and frankly better than the actual comic 9 times out of 10).

I am more excited from his hints which could mean one of two things, both of which would make me happy:
1) A new Damage Control mini-series (it could even feature Monstro!)
2) More Milestone books. How I would love more Static or Icon...

Yeah, I second McDuffie on Black Panther. He writes a much better T'Challa than Hudlin does.
I'm excited about him being on JLA, though. There have been some nice moments, but I haven't been excited about the current team.

I'd like to jump on the "McDuffie writing Black panther" bandwagon here.
That would be great.
Although I think the odds are much higher he'd be doing something with Damage Control or Deathlok.

balls I liked Dwayne of FF, not sure I'm gonna stick with Millar & Hitch (not a fan I'm afraid)
I don't mind Hudlin on BP, but wouldn't mind seeing Dwayne take him on

I'm glad Marvel still has work for Dwayne.
Apparently McDuffie has a limited series coming up.
And I like Hudlin on BP just fine.:)

It's nice to know that there were no hard feelings here, but I really wish he had stuck around longer. Marvel's gonna start slowly losing to DC now, which is a shame.

Cool!
Millar's Ultimate Fantastic Four run was amazing. Can't wait for him and Hitch to start, even if I'm sad to see McDuffie leave.

McDuffie is a Classy guy, very professional. I enjoyed his run on the FF. I already own Ultimate Fantastic Four so i will be dropping the book the moment Duff leaves and Millar takes up the job. Reed looks like Lance Armstrong and George Bushs love child. And the panels all looked like sports illustrated swimsuit issues. I have seen that already, so Im jumpin when he gets the book.
