We've gotten a lot of rain recently. Lots of flooding in the county I live in. Even had a coworker who's apartment got flooded this week. I can't imagine anything worse then water damage where you live. (except a fire of course)
I remember our basement would flood every year back when we were still in our house growing up. One year, the sewer backed up into our basement after it rained.... icky bad

It only gets that bad down here once every 2, maybe 3 years. We have this storm called 'Sibi boesie' which roughly translated means 'sweep the forest away' since the heavy winds break off tree branches. To the west where it's lower, a lot of places end up flooded.

Pup!
Showed my kiddies the pics you sent me. My son was a little freaked by the bearded dragon, but my daughter loved the snake pics.
Now she wants me to get her a Florida King Snake. I'm like, um, sure, honey, but why don't we wait until we get a bigger house.....
Yes, thanks to Tricksterpup, my daughter wants a pet that can swallow her other pets.

We're back from the dentist.
BB's tooth has to be pulled,
so next week, the oral surgeon.
He has some pain pill
that the nurse said is
stronger then vicodin.
Maybe when the antibiotic kicks in
and the pain lessens,
he'll trade me some for my lortabs...

I need it to offset mine.
Nope, sorry. This day has gotten exponentially shitty.

I've been a good boy, mom. But these damn exams have got me a bit frustrated. Six more days and it's over, and I'll never have to go to school AGAIN. Of course there are other ways to broaden one's horizons (God bless autodidacticism).

I am alright,
Nothing much new on the health thing,
went to Stanford,
and they're very nice,
but
they don't want to start treatment until
the nodules are twice as big

For some strange reason, I don't agree,

I remember in high school when we had to get shots for something called red dog. The first kid to get a shot came out of the room and went 'You're all going to fucking die!' For a moment we all thought, oh shit, this red dog thing is worse than they told us. He started laughing his ass off and what followed was the greatest chase in my high school's history.

Nah, it was a mild virus that was doing it's rounds.
Is it because it's backwards?
Nope. It's because the original selector blindly ordered anything and everything with no thought of quality or that these series go on for freaking forever. Now the kids want us to keep up with every title we own plus buy new ones. I'm looking at a list of forty-five series titles that have a new volume every two months and trying to check circ stats and availability, then determine how many copies to order.

So, I have a favorite new product that literally stopped me from crying and let me fall asleep last night. I somehow pulled a muscle in my back yesterday. It was one of those really bad pulled muscles where it feels like there's a knife sticking in your back. I couldn't fall asleep for hours last night and there was no sleeping position that would alleviate the pain, but then I remembered that I had a few Ben Gay patches. You just stick the weird wintergreen smelling, sticky thing on and it heats right up and dissolves the pain away. Heaven. I hear the Tigerbalm brand patch is even better.
And there's my product schilling for the day.

Both mom and I have bad backs. (she even had ruptured disks) She found a book years ago called Pain Free by Pete Egoscue. I kid you not, the exercises on the chapter about back pain saved her back (and later mine, when it would go out) Very gentle exercises, and very effective. I recommend this book every time I meet someone with back issues.
