Is the Stardust trade worth buying?

The illustrated version with Vess art? I'd say yes. It's a nice little fantasy tale, nothing spectacular but Vess is pretty.

If you like Neil Gaiman. Or JONATHAN STRANGE AND MISTER NORRELL, which uses Gaiman's mythology.

I would say... yes. And we have the softcover and hardcover available!

You're just mad because the Bears are going to begin their slide back towards mediocrity this year. No Thomas Jones, Grossman has been exposed as the fraud he is and a defense that is losing good players left and right. Yeah, you've got your own problems.

Oooh you just watch Benson run and run and run, you are all going to be saying Thomas who?

The only person who beat Grossman last year was Grossman, and now that Olsen is there he is going to develop into a fantastic quarterback, just you watch!

The best part is that noone else in the Central even has a chance, the Bears could only send a defense and they would still win the division.

Until he gets hurt, which should be by, oh, Week 3.

The only person who beat Grossman last year was Grossman, and now that Olsen is there he is going to develop into a fantastic quarterback, just you watch!

Oh, I'll watch all right. I'll watch as every defense in the league feasts on Rex's INTs. The guy's been exposed. Every D coordinator in the league knows his game by now: "When I don't know what else to do, I'm going to chuck it downfield as far as I can."

The best part is that noone else in the Central even has a chance, the Bears could only send a defense and they would still win the division.

Yeah, that strategy was pretty effective in the Super Bowl, wasn't it? The Central is pretty weak right now, that I'll grant you. But I think the Packers -- with a very good defense, a good group of WRs and, of course, Favre -- will challenge for the division title, the Lions will be better (they could be scary on offense, if their line comes together) and the Viqueens will suck.

I love to see delusions of grandeur.

I'm quietly optimistic about the Patriots this year....that's if the Randy Moss/Donte Stallworth/Wes Welker tandem gel, Laurence Maroney becomes a stud, and Adalius Thomas turns into the monster he was with the Ravens.

As for the fantasy angle, there are degrees of insanity. I care more about the game, then my fantasy players, but there was a time I bought the NFL Sunday Ticket just so I could skip from game to game to follow my guys. That was three years ago.

See with Olsen, he no longer has to do this. The majority of his interceptions actually came from overthrowing his receivers, if he gets his passes down its lights out NFL.

Yup. If the running game comes into place for the Packers, they'll contend with the Bears. I also think the Lions will be this year's Saints, with the possibility of winning 9 and potentially 10 games based on their schedule. Give me shit about it in January if I'm wrong.

Yup. I am surprised that the continued claim of perpetual and unchallengeable ownership of comics mockery would not have been dropped right afterward, but there will always be people around to prop up the indignance of "threatened" comics "geniuses". See, e.g., Byrne, J.

Personally, I've lost a lot of respect for someone who could have just said "mine is better," and let that be the end of it.

If you *were* issued one and refused to acknowledge his/her presence for 5 consecutive business days and/or did nothing remotely praise-worthy for a period of not less than 21 days of each month, your duly appointed sycophant would default to the poster with the most praise-worthy posts during said period.

Speaking of poo poo:

One thing to expect on a seriously low carb diet is constipation.

You can use those fiber supplements, eat low carb veggies like spinach, and drink plenty of water to mitigate this somewhat.

But I'm talking about ketogenic diets (less than 10 grams of carbs per day). The South Beach Diet might give you enough fiber to avoid that.

Constipation is not one of my worries. Over the years I've discovered for me at least its the amount of dairy products I ingest that screw that up.

It's not forgotten, I mean shit, how could we, it's the only argument you have for him.

"Grossman chokes against good teams"

"Grossman has poor accuracy and his receivers are usually left hanging on his soft lobs."
"He had 7 games over 100 rating"

"Grossman is always ill prepared, and relies on the the talented running game to allow for his passing to work"

Yeah and anyone in Detroit is better?

That's a retarded argument.
First as an appeal to emotion it fails. I have no emotional investment in the Lions outside of a deep love for one, Barry Sanders.
It's not relative. His relative merit against Detroit's quarterbacks has no bearing on his actual worth.
I'd have to seriously contemplate between picking Kitna or Grossman.

As far as Grossman, its funny how easy it is forgotten that he had 10 games with an over 80 QB rating, 7 of which he was over 100. And he was technically a rookie, this will be only his second full season, but don't listen to me, watch the first quarter Monday night and see how much better he looks.

I've seen Grossman Play since he was a sophomore in High School. My only thought once again is; really?

Sorry, I am willing to have faith that he spent the offseason working on his mechanics and watching last seasons film. The team got him a TE as another outlet, and between Berrian, Bradley and Hester, he now has 3 speed demons to run under the ball, who can catch. His mobility can only be improved and if the last game was any indication he is not going for the home run every time.

But you know, I am prepared to keep him on a short leash this year and be willing to put Griese or even Orton in if he fucks up.

He does turn over the ball too much. I'll take this new kid Charles Johnson over Bernard Berrian though (I WILL draft Berrian if it's the right round, though). He's looked outstanding in preseason. With Mike Martz, Tatum Bell, Roy Williams, etc., I think the Lions are going to score tons of points. And Kitna proved himself in Cincinnati, the jury is still out on Grossman.

Maybe Kitna's not better on raw skills, but he's better due to experience and the offense around him.

This is funny, because so far my only tastes that have been discussed in here comprise at most like 5% of what I really like. But I frequently have been called on my hyperbole, which is why my friends chose my blog to be called "The Is The Best EVER!".

Have you seen Playboy lately?

That's the only reason to read it.

Again with the joke killing.

The only reason I used "playboy for the articles" is because it is such a common statement. Google results (http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%22playboy+for+the+articles%22&meta=) - That's why it's funny.

No one says "I read Hustler for the articles" Google results (http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=%22hustler+for+the+articles%22&meta=), that's why it wouldn't be funny.

Boy, I can believe I need to teach joke construction around here.

I'll have to add that to my CV

In order for that to be true, the site would have to have stories lacking in the basic principles of story telling.

The most basic of all being in the first 3 pages, try to actually tell a story. Or at least signal to the reader that a story is coming after some set up.
