I'm sorry, this post isn't going to make any sense and you have no idea who I am or what my intentions are but just don't care anymore.

I think I have Schizophrenia and I'm going into an intensly paranoid delusion I'm completely obsessed with JTHM and I feel like the whole world is conspiring to ruin it for me. It's the only thing that makes me happy.

I just want to talk to someone who won't hurt me.

Everyone I try to talk to just ignores or attacks me.

I'm sorry, it's a nightmare and I'm terrified now.

I was calm when I made my last post but I feel like everyone is deliberately ignoring it to hurt me.

I can't talk to psychologists, all psychologists do is put people in hospital and on medication.

All I want to do is talk to someone.

I can't talk to psychologists, all psychologists do is put people in hospital and on medication.

Actually, psychologists aren't allowed to prescribe medication -- only psychiatrists can do that. And there are many kinds of therapy that don't involve medication or being put in a hospital.

If you're telling the truth, I would strongly urge you to put your fear aside and go see a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists and psychologists are the only people who are competent to help people with problems like yours. In fact, that is what psychiatrists and psychologists are -- they're people who are specifically trained to deal with mental illness. No one else has such training -- certainly not a bunch of strangers on the Internet.

And anyway, if you did see a psychiatrist and s/he did put you on medication, it might work and you might end up feeling better. Wouldn't that be preferable to continuing to feel the way you feel now?

Medication won't help, trust me.

I feel bad because everyone I try to talk to treats me like shit.

One good way to avoid getting sympathy or understanding from people is to tell them you are mentally ill.

They will assume that everything you describe to them is a delusion, solvable by medication.

My last post was confused, but trust me, I've been in this game long enough to know that pills won't help. I've taken medication before, it solves nothing.

I need to find someone with a similar interest to me, to connect with. It is the feeling of isolation that is driving me mad.

Does anyone here know of a JTHM forum not run by meglomaniacs? A fan group, anything?

Forget it, forget I came here.

Dude, if you really have schizophrenia, you *need* medication. And if you're not willing to accept this advice, then there's nothing we can do for you.

Okay, thank you.

I just don't have the heart to argue with anyone anymore.

I know you mean well, I'll be going now.

Thank you.

There are some schizophrenics that medication doesn't help. It's a very individual disease and some strains are nastily resistant to medication.

However, that still doesn't mean one should avoid the care of a competent psychiatrist. If you wrecked your rotator cuff, you'd go to a specialist, yes, to have it monitored, even if the surgery wouldn't help.

Same principle. Go find a competent psychiatrist instead of posting on a message board that you presumably don't know that well, given your posting history and your joining date. Really, what are the odds that you'll get better help here? About the same as me being able to set your arm if you broke it.

You need professional help. You'll only get worse.
