vista work keeping on new comp?

im getting a new comp in the next week. the hardware will def be able to handle it (although only 2 gigs of ram), but im mostly concerned about issues with some games and programs like 3d max. has anyone had any issues running any games or programs like photoshop cs2, 3d max 8/9? or should i just pop on xp and wait a while to dust off the vista disc i get.

I'd stick with XP, simply because Vista's far too new for them to have worked out the bugs.

thats what i had planned on. i have a dell now with an xp disc, and i ordered a new dell with vista so i could just pop on xp when it gets here and have the vista disc for whenever i need it. but recently iv been considering just keeping vista.
