So what is the most interesting tale of Countdown? I started off liking the Mary Marvel story best, but I've switched over to the rogues storyline. Mary's story is getting stale and I hope it picks up more in future issues. Its interesting seeing Piper and Trickster running from just about everyone, and the last issue with Question and Batwoman was great. I think Trickster plays a major role in the resolution of Countdown, and I hope he can be redeemed since he doesn't seem to be a bad guy. I also can't wait for the first interaction between former close friends Wally and Piper, especially since the former thinks the latter is partially responsible for the death of Bart.

Death of the New Gods has me intriguied but it's kinda running hrough the main storylines, and the Apokolips stuff with it.

So other than that, the Rogues.

I must admit, that i am enjoying the jimmy olson stuff, intrested to see where it's going, one would assume that he has a big role to play in the end, as it appears that he's supposed to be proteced from dieing, and his dream about being part of the source wall, im also intrested to see where the karate kid story goes, obviously that ones early days yet.

Piper and Trickster, because it's the only storyline that isn't being told in another book better that it's being told here. Neither is Mary Marvel's, but her storyline, frankly, sucks. I like the villains' "Defiant Ones" homage, and I think those two characters specifically play well off each other.

While I think the Rogues storyline is easily the most fun and enjoyable I do believe that Jason and Donna's world hopping has the most potential to be interesting...

...should it be written properly.

Should've polled this. I bet it's overwhelmingly the Rogues.

Enjoying them all except for the Karate Kid and Holly Robinson/Harley ones (although I suspect the latter might pick up when it ties into Detective Comics later).

Top favourite would have to be the Jimmy Olsen superpowers/Death of the New Gods one

Enjoying Trickster and Piper
Also Donna, Jason Todd and "BOB"

at first I liked the Olson storyline, but then someone reminded me that Olson got superpowers way back as Turtleboy or something. Then it just became another recycled arc

It's not a recycled arc. Durring the silver age Jimmy gained a bunch of superpowers(and actually all of the powers he displayed in countdown were silver age powers he had for a time). This is a bit different and probably ties into the silverage stories.

Considering...
Karate Kid has been treading water for about 3 months; so far all we know is he's "dying". Not him.
Mary Marvel: Her story seems to have been telegraphed since before the first issue of Countdown: seduced by the "dark side" and has to work her way back to heroism. Not her.
Holly Robinson: With the October solicits, we know she and Harley will be going to Paradise Island for training. Half a year to get her from the streets to a suspicious womens' shelter to training in an Amazonian army? Not her.
Jimmy Olsen: No idea what's going on with him, and no apparent clues in the story. Mostly we've just gotten reassurances via editorial interviews that it all will make sense someday. Quite honestly, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they never explain how he knew who Jason Todd was, and I'd be almost as unsurprised if they forgot to eventually explain where the heck his powers came from. Not him.
New Gods: We know they're being killed off in a separate miniseries (at least those that don't get killed off in Countdown). Not them; the meat of their story will appear elsewhere.
Jason/Donna/Kyle/Bob: Again, the fun stuff is apparently in a separate miniseries. Their appearances here seem to be teasers. Not them.
Rogues: The promise for these two is unfulfilled, but it appears to have the most potential. Rogues by default.

Easy.

The Rogues by far!

At first it was Donna/Jason, but Pied Piper/Trickster has definitely surpassed that. Right now, it seems that's the only storyline that the writers really care about too.

Who's killing the New Gods? And what does Darkseid know/is going to do about it? I know it's not been covered much but I want it to be of more prominence.

I gotta say, I am having a hard time coming up with an answer for this. Although I was intrigued by all of the storylines prior to the series beginning, each and every one of them has bored me silly. It took 52 awhile to get started and really start delivering the goods, but there were at least a few storylines that always kept me coming back.

Thus far, Countdown has been like reading the Rene Montoya bits of 52 week after week...

The Rogues are interesting me right now but at first it was Donna, Jason and "Bob". But nothing in Countdown is grabbing me as much as any of the storylines in 52.

I wonder if all of these "rogue" answers would have been different if this question was asked before the puppet fight last week. It definitely added some fun to the series.

The Rogues, Death of the New Gods, and Mary Marvel (in that order) are the ones that I'm enjoying. Plus they've incorporated the best guest stars that Countdown has seen, like Black Adam, Riddler, Penguin, Darkseid, Deadshot, Montoya/The Question, etc. I don't care about either Karate Kid or Jimmy Olsen one way or the other, and Jason Todd's inherent suckiness detracts from the Monitors/Mutiple Earths deal. That leaves the Holly/Amazons thing, which I gather I would need to be following Amazons Attack to fully appreciate.

Mary Marvel, Olsen, and The Rogues...I could do without the Amazons story.

Well I'm a HUGE fan of the Rogues in general anyway- more Captain Cold, Mirror Master and Weather Wizard by these two but they're still a member of the best villains gallery in comics, Batman and Spidey be damned.
