I just got this email from my state Green Party's treasurer, Trey Smith.

He just moved across the state and he keeps our account and P.O. Box near him, to more easily do his job. Of course it led to this story about moving the account to a new location:

I just set up the new state party account with the credit union in Pacific County. But it wasn't easy due to a psychotic ass't manager. Here's part of the weird conversation that transpired.

Cast of Characters
CAM - "Crazed" Ass't Manager
FT - Friendly Teller assigned to open our account
TS - Your intrepid Treasurer

FT & TS are busy filling out the variety of forms need to establish an account. CAM walks up.

CAM - Who is Robert?
I didn't respond as I thought she must be talking to FT.
FT - What?
CAM - (insistent and looking directly at me) WHO is Robert?
TS - Are you asking me?
CAM - Yes. Who is Robert?
TS - Robert who? What are you talking about?
CAM - Well, you say you're the Treasurer of GPoWS, so I want you to tell me who Robert is.
TS - What are you referring to? I know several people named Robert.
CAM - I want to know about the Robert mentioned on the GPoWS web site.
TS - What? We don't have any officers named Robert.
CAM - Well, the web site says you do, so maybe you're not really the Treasurer of this party.
FT - What are you talking about?
CAM (uses computer to bring up a particular page on GPoWS web site) - Right there (pointing). Who is Robert?

What was she pointing at, you might wonder? Brace yourselves. She was pointing at the following heading: Robert's Rules of Order.

I explained to her that the Robert, in question, was, I believe, an officer in the British Army who, in the 19th century, developed a set of procedures for conducting organizational meetings. He isn't a member of our party as he is dead and even deceased.

She said, "Thank You" and walked away. FT muttered something about CAM having a few screws loose.
Trey

Just thought it was amusing enough to share.

I've met quite a few people with the screws completely out of their heads that are in charge of billion dollar portfolios.

Welcome to capitalism, may I take your savings?
