Folk (or other public domain) Song Needed

We've got a sequence in an upcoming story where we want to quote some song lyrics, but the song we had in mind is apparently unavailable.

Does anyone know a public domain song, folk or other but preferably one that people have heard of, that has lyrics about the singer being sad that a young woman/teen girl departing on a trip. (And by "trip" we mean an actual voyage, not a metaphor for death.)

"Ten Thousand Miles" might suit you. I recommend in particular the Eliza Carthy version.

Thanx! That's good, and we'll keep it in mind, but we're trying to find something specific to a girl going off.
