I've had two victories over the lebians. The first time as after 7,000 posts I FINALLY killed the Ann Coulter thread. The second victory was when Sabrina admited she couldn't be a sister which was overturned by Aggie and Heystacy.:mad: Tomarow I go for the hat trick and kill this thread by making it not work safe. The reasons why fans got mad is because that was the final indignity against David Prowse the actor who played Vader, who it must be said was George Lucas' bitch. For instance, no one told David that James Earl Jones was going to dub his voice in lieu of his for Darth Vader. So David spent a year telling everyone that he was going to be in Star Wars and on opening night his hometown movie theater was packed with his friends and family members for his big acting debut. I would have paid good money to see the look at David's as he looked on in horror and humiliation as a black voice started speaking his lines. I can go on and on but I think a lot of people were hoping that if they were going to digitally replace Sabastion Shaw it would have been David rather thanHayden.

The reason I gave you was for hardcore fans. I was going to go back to edit my post to mention that mainstream Star Wars fans really hated all the changes Lucas kept making for new releases on the films because they hold the movies sacred.

I totally get being mad, but seriously, he's doing that to appeal to MY generation. He gave us three films that were heavy on CGI and mind blowing effects, so by comparison, the earlier films do look crappy to a lot of younger people, so he gave them a fresh coat of paint.

He also fixed some continuity errors (the already mentioned Anakin; changing Boba Fett's voice), so that young people could watch them and still think they were great.

I really don't see why some fans got all up in arms about it. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
