I would love to see him return as the threat he was before, attacking the Nova and Phyla, the heroes who took him out. I would also like to see him return to Earth briefly, maybe after he takes out 42, and kick the FF's butt, hard, to show what a monster he has become.

Course the irony is that Annihilus' taint is affecting Phyla-Vell so you may get a show-down between a possessed Phyla-Vell and Select Nova. Who would win?

I just don't want him gunning for Nova though; if Phyla hadn't stolen (in his mind) the Q-Bands he would have won that fight. Annihilus should be out for both their blood.

Anyway, when he comes back it needs to be a huge deal. I mean, he is responible for taking out the Skrull freaking Empire and tried to destroy the universe and the Negative Zone because he's the ultimate xerophobe. I would have him kidnap Quasar and use his own taint in her bands to twist her to his cause, and then he should use a portion of his wave to take over the Earth to search for the Infinity Gems there.

This is the scenario I would like when a new Quasar book comes out (based on current events):

First, Annihilus bangs up Richie in Nova. Then he goes after Quasar (Phyla). Since this Quasar has become a hero and is starting to finally be a hero, Annihilus wipes the floor with her and kills her in revenge to get the bands back. Rich comes in too late to save her, she tells him of a way to get to something he doesn't understand. He gets bashed around by a stronger Annihilus and runs. He then finds this thing Phyla told him to get and it's Wendell Vaughn! Richard brings him to his next fight with Annihilus, the bands fly off, and Wendell sends the bug running to go build an army. Throw in a little Eon stuff along the way with some cooler details than I can think of right now and I think that would be a fun way to bring Mr. Vaughn back as Quasar. It also leaves Annihilus as a viable threat to the Universe while being a villain to Nova Prime and Quasar.

As far as the beat the crap out of the F4 idea goes, I think it would be fun for Annihilus to find 42, break it down and send everyone back. The real F4 show up (Thing, Torch, Sue, Reed) and try to put differences aside but combined with an amped up Annihilus they can't do real well. Then he beats Reed and absorbs him a la Wendell Vaughn only to find out Reed is really a Skrull! "INTOLARABLE! THIS IS NOT THE THING ANNIHILUS WANTS!" So he gets mad and storms off leaving the real F4 to become a family again in order to find Reed.

At least that what I think would be fun. It's a litter scatterbrained but meh.

It's not that I don't like her (I really enjoy her as Quasar) but it would serve as a great emotional weight for the story. Besides, it's Marvel . . . it's not like death is permanent or anything.

Awesome idea. Lets at Moondragon to the mix, they both annoy me. They should die heroically though. With Phyla destroying the bands so they won't fall into the wrong hands and then dying, dying without knowing that her actions caused a massive rip in the fabric of space. Yay!

Anyway:

Annhilus should try and kill Nova. Not Earth. Why not Earth you ask? Simple. Unless he's going in by himself there is no way he should lose, and unlike Galactus, there is no way he would leave for reasons of respect. So my belief systems would be stretched too much there. He could pwn the ff though. Maybe that's how to get rid of Storm/Panther, have them injured.

Well, he'd have to be dead in the first place... and as Annihilation's final page showed, that aint the case.

Annihilus should stay clear of earth. Attacking earth is the equivalent of trying to rob a police station. That's just asking to get beaten.

I doubt he's stupid enough to confront Galactus again. Without the Q bands, plus the assistance of Thanos and T&A, he's ridiculously outclassed there.

I'd say going after Nova or Quasar are his best bets. That's picking fights he can actually win, even though he obviously won't. He can at least say he came close.

Yeah. It's such an interesting coincidence that both Civil War and Annihilation are linked to the Negative Zone, but the events never really tied together. It would be interesting to see him try and make use of the negative zone prison in some capacity.

We really don't need a What if for that though... Reed has been stopping Annihilus from invading earth for decades.

The smartest thing Annihilus ever did was to try an Invasion far far away from earth and Reed Richards.

Oh yes, definitely return to the Negative Zone and find the 42 there, and just obliterate it as if it were nothing, unleashing dozens of supervillains on unprepared heroes. And if the killed Captain Marvel in the process, it wouldn't be too bad either.
