I voted yes, but in actually, she would've been the Matron of Honor--not the Maid. Maybe Kitty would've still been Maid, while Jean was Matron. Storm's pretty non-trad, so I could see that happening.

I've seen it done where a bride has a maid and matron of honor . Jean could be the matron , Kitty the maid.

Yeah I could see that happening too. But for sake of the question, let's assume there is only 1 top maid available. :D

they should have a reality show to pick. Top Maid...the search for Storm's maid of honor, this fall on Bravo.

I think it'd be Jean. Then at the end of the wedding and with all the love in the air, Scott and Jean would be overwhelmed and want to fix their marriage, so they renew their vows. Then Emma, seeing that she has no chance, runs but naked into the jungle to be eaten by whatever big teethy animal gets to her first...wait what was the question again?

I actually want to see Emma and Scott stay together while Jean is present. I want to see her reactions and her moving on.

(I know it's still hard to swallow with the self inserted mini series and all, but in the context of the universe, it's legit)

I really don't think Jean sabotaged the Forge/Storm relationship. He asked her if Storm loved him. Jean didn't give him an answer, it wasn't her place to say. Although we never knew what Jean saw, what if Storm really didn't love Forge himself...but more the idea of them, or the idea of having a family beyond the X-Men? How could she say that to his face.

Besides, if he had already asked her to marry him he better be damn well sure that she loves him back. It was shaky from the start with Ororo really not knowing what she wanted either.

I dunno, I've always felt Kitty and Ro were far, far closer than Jean and Ro... but then Ro and Jean were more on an even level, while Kitty and Ro were something of a parental relationship. I'd say Kitty probably would've still been "top bestest friend" in the end I guess, but it could've easily gone either way really.

Puh-lease. Kitty? We all know 'Ro and Red will hook up the second the later comes back to life. They'll have Omega baby brats and go in space killing stars or something.

And regarding the actual question, I'd have to say 'No' if just for the awkward factor. Cause the whole assembly soooo wouldn't glare daggers at Cyke and Ems during the vows if Jean stood that close to the bride.
