When Bats is walking through Arkham, he passes by Poison Ivy and some other redhead. The redhead is ranting about how horrible the Scarecrow is.

Anyone know who it is? For some reason, I can't figure it out and it's bothering me, lol.

A scan might help.

I don't own a scanner.

Though she's been given the wrong hair color, I think that's actually supposed to be Harley Quinn. Hence the irony of her saying that Scarecrow's "the worst man she's ever known" (or some such; don't have the comic on me for reference at the moment).

I hope not in a way purely because I'd like the filler issues on Dini's run to still follow the chronology of Dini's issues, if that makes sense. At this point in Detective Comics Harley's been released.

Unless of course, this happens in a flashback and I am an idiot who shouldn't post on threads about books he hasn't picked up yet.

Without seeing the issue, I can't give an exact reply, but I'll try a few guesses.

Female villains locked up at Arkham are a rarity. Other than Harley (who is supposed to be free now) and Ivy, we have as confirmed Arkham female inmates at some point...

Magpie (dead).

Lady Clayface (I don't think they'd have her anywhere but in a highly special cell).

Vox (who was dark skinned and black haired last time I checked).

Samantha the delusional witch wannabe (most likely candidate out of these, since she at least had brown hair which could be printed as reddish).

My best guess, though, is she's just a nameless background character thrown in only for this issue, for drama effect.

When I read that issue, I thought it was Harley Quinn and a continuity error.

calling him "bats" seems to signify harley... but it could always be some random patient.

I was thinking it might have been Jane Doe, especially as the next inmate seen was the Great White Shark.

Actually, the one calling him 'Bats' there is the Great White Shark.

I always thought Harley had the cell across from Poison Ivy. Or was it next to?

Maybe it was supposed to be Harley and they changed the hair color last minute to avoid a continuity error, now saying it's a generic prisoner.

Well, there is a scene in Batman:TAS where Harley reveals to Batman that she isn't a natural blonde...

I can only hope. She was an interesting character.

I doubt it's Jane Doe; part of the point of that character was that she was very plain and nondescript, and this woman is, as you can see, quite pretty.

I'm thinking elias_E probably has the right answer: it was originally intended to be Harley, then the editor discovered the error just before the book went to press.

Ha, well if Harley's not a natural blonde but a redhead that just makes her cuter, imo.

She's just a random character in Arkham.

Lady Clayface (I don't think they'd have her anywhere but in a highly special cell). On a related note, does Lady Clayface still have her powers?
