I remember hearing awhile back how marvel was trying to make every mutie book start with an X. When you hear a new mutant title is coming out does the X at the beginning make it more likely for you to buy it, or not. If not at the beginning how important is it to include an X in the title? I really think a lot of the x titles are cool. I even thought X-Calibre was kind of a neat title. I have also been fans though of New Mutants, and Hellion. So the X doesnt affect me one way, or the other. Does the X affect anyone elses purchasing decisions?

Not really. I don't consider Exiles or New Excalibur X-book no matter how huge the X is in their titles.
New Warriors is closer to being an X-book than those.

Technically, only X-Men starts with an X. And everyone calls it Adjectiveless X-Men. ;)

New Mutants was rebooted into New X-Men, so Marvel obviously thinks the "X" is a selling point.
And really, it is.

Ah, the title slipped my mind. Probably due to it being my least favorite one.

And before they were cancelled we had X-Force, X-Statix, and Uncanny X-Men used to be called just plain ol' X-Men back in the day.

You can't put an X on anything and Expect it to sell I bet you if X-Factor didn't have an X on it their is no way that book would make good sales especially towards X-book fans

What about the original New Mutants book? It lasted for almost 10 years, and had a hundred issue run.

It doesn't affect my opinion, but I do think it matters to some.

I do not, it's not it's name. I know what book I'm talking about when I say X-men....usually becasue I call the other's by their refix.
Oh and no.
