I picked up Faker #2 incorrectly thinking that it was the first of the series. However, the story is tight enough that I didn’t realize that I was missing the previous chapter until the next day when I re-read it. So you’ve got a compelling story that makes you jump right in and then re-read it the next day. I really can’t give a higher recommendation than that. Anyway, there's a full review over there (http://madbastard.hypersites.com/site/page/pg3309-pn_Faker_2.html).

I loved this issue. Did not see that end coming. I'm really curious about what's gonna happen to Nick now and if there's any part of him that is exclusively his.

I really dig the combo of Carey writing and Jock on art on this book. Loved this twist on the classic "all evidence of your life has been deleted" concept. Carey's one of those writers whose work I'll pick up based simply on his name being attached. I knew nothing of the premise of Faker going into it, other than it was a 6-issue mini that Carey was doing for Vertigo. Have not been disappointed with the past two issues; it's a pretty cool miniseries so far. Curious as to where it goes for the next 4 issues now that the "what's up with Nick" twist is out of the way.

Hi-Fi, what did you think of Carey's most recent Crossing Midnight? What with your sig and all, I'm assuming that you've already read it. I rarely see any threads for it here, but I love the hell out of that book. My favorite of the stuff Carey's doing right now, with his X-Men a very close second.

This book is amazing. I would've kept on reading if the book was just about the identity theft and social mask issues, but then to throw in the supernatural angle too. Love it.

Yeah, same here. #1 was okay, but #2 was what really sold me.

crap! i didn't know issue two was available already (issue one read well for me...finally a college series thrown in with a bit of scifi crazy cloning &/or alien stuff & "real" characters)!

good thing i'm swinging by the comic store later.

edit:: they were freakin sold out!
