A new month, a new thread! I'll start it off with:
Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis. Yeah, it's a novel but it counts! If you like Warren's Transmet type speak and the type of stuff he blogs about then you'll dig this.
Crecy (http://www.avatarpress.net/v/crecy/) - An OGN from Avatar by Warren Ellis and art by Raulo Caceres. This was nutty. Kind of like reading something on the history channel with lots of swearing. A member of the English army was speaking to the reader and breaking the 4th wall the whole time. Filled with maps and details about the battle and fighting in 1346. Very cool! Click for preview art.
Keeping this post Warren-tastic, I also read DOCTOR SLEEPLESS which is kicking major butt! Jump on board with this one early and you won't be disappointed! Hehe.... ;)

UNION JACK London Falling TPB (Marvel) by Christos Gage and Mike Perkins -
I waited on the trade for this one. Right decision based on the story premise. A terrorist attack by super-villains in London in a matter of hours. I said the decision to read it in one seating was wise because that enhanced the feeling of a "shorter" time period. This was the main point lacking in Gage's writing. He just needed to ramp up the tension a little more. I am not a 24 fan, but I think that is what was needed in this story. The rest of the story is solid and makes for a good summer read. Perkins art is top notch. He draws some great action scenes. One page in particular was an overhead shot of Tower Bridge being attacked. Great perspective. Good character interaction between Sabra, new Arabian Knight, the Contessa and Union Jack. Although, I would have liked to seen more out of the Knight. I recommend. $10.99 is a good price point.
BORROWED TIME (Oni Press) by Neal Shaffer and Joe Infurnari -
Picked up the first two digest sized books of this at Feb's NYCC after talking withe Neal. He hooked me with the Bermuda Triangle. It is hard to do the story justice, but a journalist has an incident in the Triangle and "disappears". Where he "disappears" to is the story. He now seems to exist in the same world only separated by 10 seconds. Close enough to touch, but forever out of reach. There are also many other people in this "world" as well with its own rules and way of life. Joe was one of Oni's 2005 Talent Search Winners. His B&W artwork nicely complements the storytelling. Certainly not in a Big Two/Image style, but creates a nice Twilight Zone feel. I recommend sampling the first book at least.

Undecided on whether to pick up Crooked Little Vein or not, probably just wait for the paperback. I've got a few other novels to read before I buy another. Crecy and Doktor Sleepless were enjoyable. It might be interesting to see a whole series of books like that, examining a different famous battle.
Read Uncanny X-men: Rise and Fall of the Shiar Empire HC today. Good story with lots of stuff going on and set ups for a few new status quo's. Didn't like the deus ex machina to get Xavier his powers back, but it was going to happen eventually, so it may as well happen now, and it ties into an X-men story I have in my head. Art was decent, but not great. Billy Tan does a fair imitation of David Finch, but Clayton Henry's fill in issues were a little plain. It was fun though, very old school X-men in space story. Maybe not Bru's best stuff, but even bad Bru is better than most people.

The Mighty Avengers #4 - The Cho art is nice but I'm not really feeling this story. Looking forward to the symbiote one coming up at the end of the year.
The Amazing Spider-Man #542 - Decent but nothing too earth shattering.
Fantastic Four #548 - Absolutely loving this book. This creative team rocks! It's even going on my pull list.
Nightwing #135 - What a let down! Got so excited by the last couple of issues and then this one got ruined by crappy fill-in (I hope) art (ugh, Dick Grayson looked very Asian throughout the book, artist had a Pat Lee vibe going on - ick!) and dated references to the 90s (not "inhaling" and bloody gloves). Are the rumors true and Jamal Igle has already been moved off the book for good to a Countdown related mini? The best part of the book was the ad for JLU Legion of Doom toys on the back of the book.
The Sensational Spider-Man #39 - Another good story although I wouldn't have been crushed if Peter would have let Eddie Brock plunge to his death.
Avengers: The Initiative #4 - felt like set-up for next issue's big battle between the Hulk and the new recruits.
The Order #1 - Definitely doesn't feel or look like your typical Marvel book. Will need a couple of more issues before making a final decision on the keep or drop question.
Super Villain Team-Up / MODOK'S 11 #1 - Nice art, interesting set-up, could turn into a fun mini-series.
New Warriors #3 - Didn't feel like a heck of a lot happened. Decompression? Think that I am done.
Amazons Attack! #4 - Getting better. Having read Catwoman a couple of weeks ago, the real baddies weren't much of a surprise.
Wonder Woman #11 - Further tie-ins to the AA! storyline and I still don't have much interest in the gods/mythology aspect of WW. Gail gets a couple of issues or else I am off the book.
Black Canary #2 - Turning into a fun mini-series.

I was kinda sick and didn't read much. I did get through a few recent issues: Ult spidey, Ult X-men, Runaways, CRECY, and a few others. Decent stuff. Bagley's last Ult Spidey almost made me shed a tear. **sniff, sniff**

Lucifer v10: Morningstar and v11: Evensong - Not bad. It just managed to hold my interest until the end but I don't think it'll stick in my memory.
All Star Superman v1 - This was good fun, but I'm not getting the classic feel from it that other people do. Frank Quitely's art is excellent and there are a lot of great touches to the story. I think time will tell how I really feel about this as I go back and reread it in the future.
Runaways v6: Parental Guidance - Another good volume. Good story, good art. They've sorted out the darkness of the printing, but the paper's getting a bit stiff these days.
Birds of Prey (Simone) v3: Between Dark & Dawn - Another good volume of BoP. Not much more than that to say really.

Brath Prequel ~ 14 - The Prequel was my least favorite issue of the bunch - probably the reason why I never got around to reading the book? Interesting choice to drop the Sigil 3~4 issues into the run. Great historical action adventure story from Chuck Dixon with art from an improving Andrea DiVito. It's amazing how much his art had improved from his time as the fill-in artist on Scion and regular artist of The First. As always, it was sad getting to the end of the run knowing that the story will never be finished. I'll say this again - I miss Crossgen!

I recently read and really enjoyed:
Immortal Iron Fist vol. 1: The Last Iron Fist Story Pr. HC--I absolutely loved it. Everything I had come to hope it would be. I'm hoping for tighter fight choreography in the upcoming tournament, but I'm very happy with every aspect of this book.
Nextwave vol. 2: I Kick Your Face Pr. HC--I quite honestly lost count of the number of times that I laughed out loud reading this. God, I miss this book already.
Crecy--Very cool read. I can see me going back to this one from time to time.
Union Jack: London's Falling TP--Scroll back up and read John's post.
Perhapanauts vol. 2: Second Chances TP--I hope this series sticks around because I am loving it. Great balance between humor (e.g. anything with Choopie) and drama (e.g. Big and Molly's talk). I only wish I had known that this volume picks up *immediately* after vol. 1, because vol. 1 was a while ago and a refresher wouldn't have hurt.
Lucifer v10: Morningstar and v11: Evensong - Not bad. It just managed to hold my interest until the end but I don't think it'll stick in my memory.
I love this series, but now that a few months have passed since I read the whole thing, I have to confess that the ending is very fuzzy in my memory. Not his final conversation with God, but everything else i.e. the siege on Heaven.

Just read the Thunderbolts 1-shot. Jenkins and Lieber nailed it. I don't see why this couldn't be in the regular numbering, but who cares - it was good.
I also read yesterday:
FANTASTIC FOUR #548 - I love McDuffie as the writer. LOVE!!!
UNCANNY X-MEN #489 - Not bad. When's the last time we saw Skids?
DAREDEVIL #99 - O MAN! THAT WAS HARSH!!!
INCREDIBLE HULK #109 - Excellent. Worked well with WWH #3 and made great sense.
NEW AVENGERS #33 - OH MAN! Hood rippin' it up!
ULTIMATE X-MEN #85 - Pretty cool. I like this Bishop.

Sometimes while my computer is firing up in the morning I read an issue. I had to restart my laptop after a meeting today so I finished reading that one. I have comic stuff all over my cube and everyone I work with knows my hobby so it's not a big deal. I also give my boss comics for his son every now and then. ;)

I just finished Brubaker's Uncanny X-Men: The Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire HC. OVerall, I liked it alot. I liked Brubaker's characterization of the team and thought the story moved pretty well. Of course, I now have to track him down and hit him in the face with two banana cream pies (one for Banshee and one for The-Person-Who-Dies-In-This-Book), but I am glad I bought this.
The art by Tan, I liked. I actually got a kick seeing all those 70s Cockrum costumes done by Tan. I loved the more classic look for so many of the characters i.e. Polaris, Havok, and anyone Shi'ar. However, I do think Marvel is wide open to a lawsuit from Square, for the character design of Korvus.
I really like Clayton Henry's pencils, and it was smart to have him do the offset, Vulcan-only issues, but I still think Marvel should have tried to get an artist with a similar style to Tan, in order to give the book a more cohesive look.
I think I just wrote more than I normally do because I read/heard so many mixed reviews about this. When I decided to wait, it was a hard decision. By the time the pre-order solicitation came around, I was nervous. The night I sat down with the actual book, I was prepared for a horrific letdown. Instead, I had a great time.

Hey all.
I just read two things, one I really liked, and one I sort of liked.
The Really Liked: Andi Watson & Josh Howard's Clubbing. Fun, great sense of humor, nice art. The ending felt a bit off, but still great.
The Sort of liked: Dabel Brother's Anita Blake adaptation. The narrative seemed to move well, and the art was lovely. I do wish Anita had managed to have another facial expression other than pouty, though. I mean, she's kicking all kinds of @$$, but she still looks...well...pouty.

Catwoman: When in Rome - Great art from Tim Sale - but when did The Riddler become a midget? The story was fine
Runaways v7: Live Fast - I haven't checked, but I'm guessing this is BKV's last Runaways trade. It's another good book. I look forward to Whedon's take.
Spider-Man: India - Only Bill Jemas could turn an Elseworlds book into a major diplomatic event. The story was decent enough. The art was mostly good with the occasional terrible panel.
Legion of Superheroes v1: Teenage Revolution - I was pleasantly surprised by this. Waid and Kitson were both on good form for this volume. I particularly like Giant Boy's insistence on being called Minature Lad. I'm definitely in for more volumes of this.
The Other Side - Another good surprise. It's good to read a Vietnam story that covers both sides. Cameron Stewart deserves a special mention here. In Seaguy and The Manhatten Guardian I found his art to be merely functional (though I know others loved it) but here his art is excellent.
Cage - Not vintage Azzarello but it passed the time well enough. Richard Corben is on top form in this book.
Batman: Turning Points - This promised to be quite a mediocre book, but the touching ending managed to pull it up a bit. The art though was pretty much consistently lacking throughout the book.
City of Glass - Good art from Mazzucchelli. This was an interesting story. I think I'll have to return in a couple of years and reread it before I fully form an opinion on this one.

Read the NOVA and WRAITH issues from Annihilation: Conquest yesterday and dug 'em both. I really love thsi cosmic stuff. Not used to Kyle Hotz's art in this setting, but Wraith is really grim stuff so it's cool. Was not expecting the ending to Nova tho! WoW!
Read a few books yesterday at lunch, including Spidey / FF #4 which was about an hour after I found out about 'Ringo. It was kinda sad, but the story was fun and the art was (as always) fun, clean, and great.
New Universe#6 - was holding onto this one, and found it in a stack. This has a lot of promise, and I hope Sal comes back to do art.
Cable/D-pool #43 - Fun stuff, but this was a 1 man show. I love "Bob: Agent or Hydra!"
Wolvie: Origins Annual - Now this was cool. Kaare Andrews on art and a cool story that tells you a lot about Wolvie's past in Madripoor. I'm enjoying the exploring of Logan's past a lot. Can't wait for the whole showdown w/ Romulus whenever it happens. Which reminds me - how cool was the ending of the Loeb/Bianchi Wolvie story? ;)
Bomb Queen Vol. 2 - Oh hell yeah! I just totally love this book. The 3 issues give you BQ's partial origin, a great story, and the BQ/Blacklight 1-shot.

X-men: Supernovas HC: Meh. Not as good as the Uncanny HC, but not bad. Solid super-hero stuff without being ground breaking. Decent art though. really liked Ramos' issues, can't wait for his Runaways arc to start.
Also, 100 Bullets: Once Upon a Crime. Big deck clearing before the end run of the series. One big death I did not expect, and lots of explanation of the Atlantic City job that's at the heart of the mystery. Looked great though. Not a lot of plot, considering how many issues are in the trade. Can't wait till that last trade is out to read it all in one shot.
Also, also Bomb Queen Vol 2. I don't know, it's not bad, and I got a few chuckles, I just don't feel the love for it like Augie and pmpknface do. Well illustrated though, and not awful. Now that I think about it, I did enjoy the Blacklight one-shot. Just wish it had a little something more. I don't know what though.

I agree. I read the first trade, chuckled a couple of times, but wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. Was the anticipation too great? Not sure. Didn't get this volume, but figured I'd chime in and let you know that you're not alone in your opinion about BQ.

To each their own! I wanted to get through BQ V.2 so I could give it to my girlfriend, who read the whole thing last night and dug it.
Meanwhile, I read Ghost Rider Vol. 2 that covers #'s 6-10. I like this book, but I'm glad I waited for the trade. The wait between issues would kill me and it reads quick. I really liked the Jack 'O Lantern arc!
Finished re-reading WHITEOUT last night too after picking it up in SD. Great story, and I'm sure I'll read it again soon.
Read Tarot #45, which was good. She's in aworld of hurt in this one...
Amazing Spider-Girl #11 has a nutty last page! This book just got atad bit more brutal!
Casanova #8 was awesome too. I just love this art style with 3 colors, and B&W are 2 of 'em. New story that keeps coming at you 200mph.
Read WWH: Frontline #3 which wasn't bad. This is certainly more "warlike" from that perspective. I like the detective story much better.
Punisher WJ #10 - Finally that story is over. It just took too long. Looking forward to a new artist and seeing what comes next for Frank, after he does his obligatory Hulk x-over.
New Excalibur #22 - This story is so whacked that the recap page didn't cover enough. And where is Union Jack during this? I mean, he should have a cameo at least.
X-Factor #22 was crazy. I totally didn't see the end coming! And I have a feeling it's gonna get worse. DUN-DUN!! ;)
I really want to read 100 Bullets Vol. 11. I may re-read Vol. 10 first though. Perhaps tomorrow, as I'll have the day off.

I need to get reading as the only thing that I have read in the past 2 weeks was the latest issue of New Avengers. I enjoyed this issue but wasn't sure if the person that The Hood killed was supposed to be someone I should know. The owl maybe? The art from Yu was good, although I don't understand why the parts of the eye lids need to be colored red in some panels.

City of Glass - Good art from Mazzucchelli. This was an interesting story. I think I'll have to return in a couple of years and reread it before I fully form an opinion on this one.
I read the original early 1990s printing several years ago, when I bought it used through Amazon. A few months back, at the big NY Comicon at the Javits Center, Mazzucchelli had a table, and he was selling copies of the new edition. I bought one, since the used copy I had was kinda beat up, and the new printing presented the artwork in a larger format. This time around, I then went out and bought Paul Auster's original novel, read that, and then re-read Mazzucchelli's adaptation. It definitely made for an intriguing reading experience. I could see just how innovative Mazz and his collaborator Paul Karasik had to be to translate pages and pages of characters discussing dense, unusual philosophic schools of thought into interesting visual storytelling. Both the original novel and the adaptation are unusual and thought-provoking works.

Read Tarot #45, which was good. She's in aworld of hurt in this one...
I haven't bought a copy of Tarot in ages. I kinda liked the first few issues, since the characters were interesting, and Jim Balent is a really good artist, but the T&A was just so overwhelming and overused that it ended up drowning out everything else.
So, I've gone from discussing City of Glass to posting about Tarot. Damn, that's a jolting change of pace, innit?

Ultimate Spider-Man #112 - Loved the chase, school & interrogation scenes. Good start to the Immonen era and I assume that his art will only improve once he gets more comfortable with the characters.
Captain America #29 - Good reading.
Catwoman #70 - Never thought that I would see a villain/bad guy get its head blown off by a high powered rifle in the pages of a DC comic - my how times change! Another good issue though. I'm also starting to get worried that this great creative team is going to get switched out soon - it doesn't seem like anyone stays for very long on DC books these days.
Irredeemable Ant-Man #11 - It's going to suck once September rolls around and the last issue ships. Once the two timelines merged in issue #6 or #7, this book has been great. Who doesn't love the Black Fox?
The Flash #231 - There is a "The" in the title Augie. Didn't really get where Wally, Linda & the kids were for the past year, but it was a good re-start. As expected, I didn't really care for the Acuna art and the design of the vagina monsters (or vulvasaurus as it was referred to over on the DC boards) was just as bad as expected.

I'm wondering if I should not read the next 100 Bullets trade whenever it comes out and just wait for the series to be finished and read it from the beginning. I know I want to read it all again once it's finished and that may be the best way.
Finally finished the Frank Miller Daredevil Omnibus over the weekend. Good run, I can see why it's a classic. The last issue was especially powerful, Daredevil plays a game of Russian Roulette with a paralyzed Bullseye. Awesome. It was also neat to see Miller's style evolve over the run, and take on some of his classic ticks towards the end. I couldn't see reading to many of these though. There's just too much weight, physically to the book. I could never find a comfortable way to read it. I think I'd rather have a few shorter over sized hardcovers, than one huge one. Plus I had to move a bunch of stuff to make room for it on the shelf. I pity the bookshelf that has to hold three or four of these monstrocities.

Whenever a new 100 Bullets trade comes out I reread at least the last 2 trades. Those volumes remind me a lot of what I have forgotten over the last 6 months to a year. This time I reread everything. It was fantastic. Since only one issue has come out since the Vol.11 left off I think I have a year before another trade comes out...so I bet I reread it all again next time, and then again when the final volume shows up. (I am guessing two more volumes)

I pretty much do the same thing. For a while (early on) I'd reread them all. Then after about Vol. 5 (one of my faves!!!) I would only go back 1-2 volumes or from 5 on.
Recently I just reread 10 before 11. But I will be sure to read them ALL when the last one is out. And I'm thinking it'll be 2 more vol's before it's all done too.

Start with DMZ. You've already read Ex Machina before, so you can put that off till whenever, but DMZ is brand new to you. And, barring Fables, DMZ is the best Vertigo book being published today.
Querry for you (or anyone else) I'm flying to Seattle for vacation this weekend, and since I can't take a ton of books with me, I'm either taking Essential X-men volume 4 or Savage Dragon Archive vol 2. That's actually the way that I have been leaning. I think that Vol. 5 of Ex Machina is the only new stuff to me right now.
Querry for you (or anyone else) I'm flying to Seattle for vacation this weekend, and since I can't take a ton of books with me, I'm either taking Essential X-men volume 4 or Savage Dragon Archive vol 2.
To me, this is a no brainer - SAVAGE DRAGON! Archives Vol. 2 contains issues 26 ~ 50, right? Off the top of my head, team-ups throughout the Image universe, more Chicago cop goings on and S.O.S.

Finished the Kirby 4th world Omni Vol 1 yesterday - and just in time for his birthday, as he would have been 90 today.
Read the STARLORD Annihilation book, damn cool, and the last Sensational Spidey ish, which I liked but was unnecessary.
I got in a TON of good stuff yesterday so I'm not sure what I'll hit next.
I re-read BAD BOY because it came up during th podcast, and is only 36 pages. Got me to start on Miller's ROBOCOP that Avatar put out that was actually scripted by Steven Grant. And I gotta tell ya, it's not bad! I'm 3 issues in and it's fun.

Count me in this group as well. Once Vol. 10 came out, I re-read everything from the beginning and found out that I was about 3~4 volumes behind. I'm not sure that I'll have the time to read everything again this time but may jump back to Vol. 8 or 9 for a refresher.
I've only read the first 4 or 5 volumes of 100 bullets. I'm still buying the book, but I think I'll wait until I've read the whole lot and then read through it all in one go

I love everyone's comments on 100 Bullets. Like Dan, I had every intention of waiting until 100 Bullets was finished before reading anything after volume 7. But last month, I noticed that it is only up to #84. So, I said to hell with waiting and slowly read through all the trades finishing volume 10 two days before volume 11.
The major death in volume 11 shocked me. I love that we finally got the backstory on Atlantic City, but I still am dying to know what was the job that Graves refused, the thing that started it all. We get answers, only to still be left with questions. Love it.
I also read:
Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. TP--Meh. I was honestly excited and hoping for so much more. The story and art were...serviceable. At least three minor lettering gaffs (which prompted me to start a separate thread) and one *major* lettering mistake. One person is showing another person Object A, only Object A is completely covered by a word balloon. If the panel hadn't been photostatted onto a computer screen in the following panel, I wouldn't have any clue as to what they are talking about.
First time I've ever been happy to see that trick.

Blue Beetle v1: Shell Shocked - I liked this a lot. It made me laugh in a few places and Cully Hamner's art was very good. One small niggle though - Black Canary (I think) referred to herself as a Birds of Prey representative. As I understand it, the team actually doesn't have a name. It's just Oracle and the people who work with/for. Birds of Prey is just the name of the comic.
Spider-Girl v1: Legacy - This was fun though a bit heavy on the exposition. I'm definitely there for more volumes, though the second person narration grates a bit.
Young Avengers v1: Sidekicks - This is excellent. It's very much in a similar style to Bendis's Avengers stuff but so much more successful at it!
The Flash #231 - Hmmm.... not sure. I think the kids are likely to really start getting on my nerves. The artist has a nice painting style, but the anatomy was all over the place.
Flight v2 (bathroom book) - I'm not sure if my expectations dropped, but I enjoyed this a lot more than volume one. One thing I can't work out is if the stories are supposed to have a theme of Flight. Most (but not all) of the stories in the first volume seemed to. Less (but still some) of the ones in this volume did.
Daredevil (Brubaker) v2: The Devil Inside and Out v2 - I love me some Brubaker! Not quite as good as the first volume but still great. I'm not sure why Marvel labelled the first two volumes of Brubaker's Daredevil as being two parts of the same story because they blatantly aren't.

Did anyone read last week's BOMB QUEEN 3 #4?
On page 2 there is a shot of the city and you can see a store called, "Cole's Kitty Shop." Jimmy Robinson put that in for my girlfriend! :D

I agree. The art from Clayton Crain was really nice though.

Even though it is September, let's finish up August with the few books that I have read over my busy last couple of weeks:
Invincible #45 - Good as always, although not a lot happened.
The Walking Dead #40 & 41 - Even without the upcoming "No on is Safe" storyline, you can just tell that bad stuff is coming. The ending of #41 was a bit of a shocker but you figured that someone was going to crack at some point.
Amazing Spider-Man #543 - I'm said to see the Garney run come to an end. Wonder where he'll end up next? Interesting that the Back in Black storyline ended without Spider-Man being in the black costume. Hope that there will be an explanation why he goes back to the good ol' red & blues in the One More Day arc.
Astonishing X-Men #22 - I'm sure that this was good. I just don't remember what the heck is going on. This will definitely read much better in one sitting after everything is completed.
Birds of Prey #109 - Another death in the DCU? This is getting repetitive and starting to have no meaning to me. Sad to see that there wasn't even an acknowledgement of the end of Gail's run in the issue. She was on the book for a good 3+ years, right?
Green Lantern Corps #14 & Green Lantern #22 - Just as I feared, I don't think that GL:C is essential reading to this crossover. Now that I've bought a couple of issues, I think that I'll probably end up reading both books through the end of the Sinestro Corps War.
I also pulled out my Amalgam comics from storage recently and re-read a bunch of them. I don't think that I remembered a single story for the ones that I bought. I'm pretty sure that I got each of these books for the artist involved: Spider-Boy (Mike Wieringo), Legends of the Dark Claw (Jim Balent), Bullets & Bracelets (Gary Frank), Assassins (Scott McDaniel) & Amazon (John Byrne w/ Terry Austin on inks).

Yep, sure did. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was a big fan of his from his FROM THE DARKNESS mini-series that he did waaaay back in the early 90s. Followed him to CATWOMAN (for a couple of years at least) and then picked this Amalgam book up for his art. Yes, the proportions of his females is a tad bit, ahem, skewed but I was always impressed with his consistency. He's one of those guys who seems to not have any problems with putting stuff out on a monthly basis.

I emailed him and asked him if he did commissions, and he replied that his schedule was too tight to allow for them. But he was inking BQ Vol. 3 #4 and said he could add in something for me. Nice guy! :)
Also - to end August, I finished up the Robocop tpb on Friday and then didn't read 1 comic all weekend. I did bag & board, tape up, and alphabetize 200+ books though. I'll put them away this week.

I am going through a few old boxes of comics, and reread some things I haven't cracked in ages.
Mark Waid's Captain America run (Heroes Return, because I only had a few issues from his earlier run)
Joe Casey's Codeflesh (amazing. I assume the codeflesh trade has nothing new? anyone know?)
Zander Cannon's 3 issues of the Chainsaw Vigilante
X-Men Archives: Captain Britain - just the non Alan Moore issues (because I have read the Alan Moore ones a lot in the TP, but I think the David Thorpe ones are pretty good too) and the Alan Davis text pieces.

Not sure, but I have all of the issues if someone wants 'em! ;)
