I so LOL'd at this today, because my hella white Jersey straight male co-worker called my fab chica's necklace "bling bling" MINUTES before I read it:

I love Bling! too! I also love her real name. ROXANNE ROXY WASHINGTON!! I think she's much more realistic and mature than any of the New X-Men kids (in terms of her personality in the books, not the character written by so-and-so) and that's cool. I like that Whedon created Hisako (and Wing :<), Morrison with the Cuckoos (I think they're all that's left, aside from Beak), and Milligan with Bling and Onyxx (who can SERIOUSLY die) add to the core original cast of the book.

I doubt they'd use her as cannon fodder. I see Trance or Onyxx going out before Bling!

She doesn't need a new codename though. If mutants were real Kanye would looooove them. And probably be one of Roxy's "hip-hop mogul" parents.
