Notta lotta, lookin into getting another part-time job at a locally owned nutrition store, I'm really hoping to get it, I think it would be a blast to work there. I've become addicted to the whole nutritional health/exercise thing, so I'd have all kinds of fun working there.

How come? I thought it was kind of cute. I don't like the art in that Good As Lily one though. Uuuugly.

I just hate Howard's style. I don't think he's very good at storytelling at all, his strengths lie in making petite goth teenage characters sexy and giving said characters as many sexy outfits as possible and put them in as many sexy poses as he can. I don't like his Dead@17 either.

I usually really like Andi Watson and I was disappointed he was not illustrating this as well, but I got over that. But even his writing wasn't very strong in Clubbing. The characters, story, everything was just a cliche, absolutely nothing that hadn't been done loads before and done better. And I don't give a shit if it is directed at an internet generation, "OMG" is not acceptable as a substitute for "oh my god". Especially not 3 times.

I've come to the conclusion I'm just not going to read anymore Minx graphic novels. They're not for me, and in my opinion they dumb down the material. Andi Watson and Mike Carey are capable of so much more yet they seem to be writing down to their audience. I can accept stories and characters written to that particular demographic, I'm not going to settle for lackluster execution.

And in a way I admire that DC's putting the Minx books out. Those books likely will lead some teenage girls who are really into manga to explore American comics and see its not all just superheroes.

I'm just disappointed that with the types of creators we've had so far, I selfishly have not been entertained to the degree I feel those creators are capable of entertaining me.

I quite like metal, but I feel that it has become way too formalized (which is close to formulized and probably neither are real words). Same thing happened with punk and that's a damn shame: conformative punk, how much can you miss the point without crossing out of reality and hitting the point from the back again?

What this is means is that I am either
a) a classicist
b) listening to way too much mainstream music and missing the innovators that I'm pining for.

c) a curmudgeon.
