I caught this about a week ago but never really mentioned it to anyone until now. Enjoy the homage Scottie Young put in there.

I love the positioning of Anole's feet, Scott's tie, Emma's hand, the shading, and everything. Anole's smile too is exact as the girl's smile. Excellent homage!!!

ETA: Norman Rockwell was a famous painter who drew stuff about the 50s-60s. The Girl With Black Eye painting, which I've supplied above, is one of his more popular paintings.

Someone else did a homage like this to one of the covers to XMen Unlimited awhile back featuring Kitty. Although it's resemblence is no where near as striking.

Someone pointed it out pretty much as soon as the cover was first seen in the solicits for that month.

Skottie did an entry on his blog all about it just after too.
