Flabbergast gets bumped off this issues mission because his head has not been in the game lately. He’s been too busy falling for Switzer. Ironically, Switzer is added on to the mission, which is protecting a concert. Switzer discovers that the Hot Zone has become an official MOMO standard.
Loman is tied up at home, literally. Two goons working for Peebles are there to kill him, but he escapes at the cost of setting his house on fire. He tries calling Allie, but can’t reach her. Allie’s too busy losing her mind in Afbaghistan. Stelaphane is ready to release her into her husband’s, Healey’s, custody.
Flabbergast shows up to the concert in a taxi, looking for Switzer. They step inside a bus to do the nasty while the mission outside goes down in flames. The band they were assigned to protect winds up dead, which indirectly helps Healey.
Woyner, Healye’s sex partner and assistant brings a present to Stelaphane. Stelaphane has an affinity for collecting hair clippings of celebrities. Woyner has the clippings of the recently deceased band, autographed. She asks Stelaphane to drop Allie in Mongolian territory to take the pressure off of Healy, meanwhile Woyner will make sure that Stelaphane finds sponsorship with Healy’s board members.
Finally, it turns out that Flabbergast is not in love with Switzer; that he’s actually been possessed by Stelaphane’s helper Colonel Frick. She practices in voodoo, and even warps Allie’s mind into believing that she is alone in the world before she is dropped into Mongolian territory. And Loman flies into Afbaghistan.
Thoughts: There is so much going on in every page this issue. More shots are taken at today's pop culture and state of affairs around the world. The voodoo twist on Flabbergast's emotions is nice, and I'm looking forward to learning more about Colonel Frick. Healey was a basket case, and having Woyner around to watch his back is very cool, but I'm sure she has her own motives for helping him out. Another full good issue.
