Please help me I.D. a comic

I have just bought a comic called "marked for murder" - TheMurder of the lonely sailor. It says No.1 ONE SHILLING under "marked for murder" in the top corner. It says THORPE & PORTER on the back and also says CLASSICS illustrated in a yellow box on the back. I can not find a date at all, but with one shilling means that it must have been 1971 or before.

I would really apprieciate any help with this one, because i cant find it at all.
