OK, I'm a noob. I haven't read a Daredevil yet (my only knowledge of daredevil is from the movie), and I don't know anything about Iron Fist. My question is, during the Civil War story, is daredevil Matt Murdock or is he the iron fist guy? Have I missed something?? If Daredevil isn't matt murdock in civil war who is he and where is matt murdock??

I assume you're reading the CW trade and that's why you ask, is that right?

The DD in CW is Danny Rand, the Iron Fist, impersonating DD, to muddy the waters of Matt Murdoch. Matt was arrested and imprisoned as DD in Mats own book, and Danny was helping Matty out, making the authorities think Matt wasn't DD after all.

But Punisher broke Matt out of prison around CW #5 or 6, because then Punisher appears in CW. And even though Matt and Danny met during CW, Danny kept the DD Indentity till the war finished.

After CW, Matt finally reclamed his DD identity.

I hope that makes sense.

Also, after Frank Castle got Matt Murdoch out of prison, Matt as Daredevil went to Paris in his series during the Civil War to pursue Alton Lennox, whom he believed worked for Foggy Nelson's killer, or who supposedly ordered the hit on Foggy at the time.
