Seriously...this book is a blast. It's funny, it's violent, it's cool. Everything just works...you should go buy it.

It's on my grab list. Unapologetic fun, with smart characters and enough mystery to keep you involved.

7-8 months ago, it'd be hard to imagine that neither of the titles on my Wildstorm grab list would be The Authority or Wildcats. But, there you go.

I hear ya. When The Highwaymen was initialy announced, I brushed it off completely. Wildcats and the Authority were the only Wildstorm books on my radar.

(excluding Planetary...but that's something different altogether...)

Long story short, I have been pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, I definitely didn't imagine myself liking this book half as much as I do.

I love the part at the bullfight where in one panel the seats are empty, and the next they are sitting there.

...here's a preview of issue one:

I haven't found a preview for issue two...but know that it does contain the follow bits of awesome:

1.) a tire iron in the face
2.) witty banter
3.) an evil secret agent babe executing a bull in front of thousands of people just to make an entrance
4.) a car hitting a man so hard he explodes

You've got two older, cooler agents - think Culp and Cosby off of I Spy, a few decades past their prime. One gunman, one wheelman.

This comic is brilliant plain and simple. The art is sweet and the story is really cool. I approve.

This is a great book. The witty banter is fantastic.

I especially liked:
Enjoy your wheelchair.
We really need a theme song.
Cool gun. Mines Bigger.
She's got three inches of armor on her Grace. Don't worry. - That's not going to be enough.

The art is incredible and one of the things I'm really surprised by that I like it the complete lack of sound effects. Lots of guns get fired but there isn't one blam.

Yeah, I really enjoy this title too. I picked up the 1st one on a whim, and quickly added it to my pull list the following week. The dialogue is absolutely hillarous, and I'm really digging the story.

Does anyone know if this is an ongoing or if it's just a limited series? I'm hoping they continue with new stories.

Limited run of six issues I believe.
