I'm pretty sure it's real. I've had other firsts off the same source.

The image isn't there anymore. Don't suppose you could upload it again please? Is it one of the images from the SuperheroHype site's Dark Knight forum?

I wonder how they're going do explain the laughing gas?

Probably just a variant on Nitrous Oxide, real-world laughing gas...

Yeah I can see that. I could see it tying into the first movies gas, since that made people fear.

That looks great. It reminds me of the Joker from The Batman cartoon somehow - perhaps just the way the hair is in strands over his face and the suit.

That picture got deleted from my Photobucket. It seems to be ignored now.
I love the c colour of his shirt. Grotty green.
so they aren't doing the joker origin in this film? Because at the end of batman begins the detective hands him the joker card saying something like "their is a new villian" but didn't bats knock him into some chemical bath thus resulting in his insanity?

It doesn't necessarily need to be Batman that knocks him in the chemical vat. It doesn't necessarily even need to be a chemical vat that turns him into the Joker.
In all honesty, the Joker is the character in comics whose origin is the most meaningless.

As long as it's Batman vs. The Joker and not Batman vs. Tubby Jack Nicholson, I'm happy.

They could always show it in a flashback. But it's not needed in this particular franchise. It was done in the other movie and I can see why the director and producers would want to steer clear. In the comics, Joker's origin wasn't shown for many years.
And not at all in the TV show or cartoons besides The Batman Animated Series
