The Good:
ECW starts with a split screen as Johnny Nitro has a huge annoucement. On this cue out comes an agent for Nitro who tells the reports that his client has a huge annoucement and after tonight will no longer be seen on ECW as the ECW World Champion. More details to come...
This is a pretty solid idea. It helps give Nitro mic time to help himself and his character. Them rewriting tonights show also shifts Punk to face Elijah Burke again.
Burke vs Punk is a pretty hard fight for both guys. I think what helps Punk get over really well is that his offense sounds and looks like he's beating the shit outta guys. The match is pretty damn solid for what it is and at the end....Punk wins this with a GTS outta nowhere. Elijah can only look on sad.
Miz cuts a good promo about chicks digging him and all. How babes seem to love The Miz (for some reason). He brings out the Extreme Expose girls as they all 3 do a special dance to win his approval and get to sleep with him. Wow....
Tommy Dreamer's matches with Johnny Nitro is shown. Dreamer's arm is scewed up as Taz explains but Tommy's such a WAAARRRIIIOOORRR he fights thru the pain as usual. He gets to face Thorn and its a pretty decent short match awhile as Thorn concentrates on the bad arm of Tommy. The young kids on ECW need to watch a Dreamer and see how this guy has sold a bad arm....3 weeks in a row ! Thorn puts an extra beatdown on Dreamer as you just know....Tommy's not gonna take that lyin down. Its on b-tch ! Dreamer will kill himself as long as he makes you suffer.
The agent walks out and confirms....the Nitro Press Conferance is gonna happen now. The reporters follow.
Nitro walks out....and I'm stunned. Totally new look....he looks like Jim Morrison. Could they....no way. That would take some balls but Tazz keeps mentioning that Nitro looks like a rock star. Then Nitro gets the mic and starts detailing his past.
He walked at 4 months old, he talked at 8 months. They skipped him ahead. The name is something he will no longer hid from. He is JOHN MORRISON !! Holy shit their making Nitro into Jim Morrison now. This is so beyond the wild I can't believe it. With his hair,sun glasses and new attire he does look like Morrison some.
The crowd at 1st isn't sold. But once Ni-I mean Morrison , aka the Lizard King starts putting down CM Punk they are less than happy. Morrison mocks Punk and his whole deal as Punk comes out to confront the new Rock God. That evil bastard Morrison nails Punk for obviously not being a Doors fan and puts a beatdown on him as fans boo.
John (Jim) Morrison walks up the ramp as any true Rock God would. Celebrating the beatdown. HELL YEAH.

Ok I like Viscera as Matt Striker's bodyguard. I do not like Big Daddy V being a wrestler and Striker as his mouthpiece only. Vis destroys a jobber as Striker was the only good thing about this.
OVERALL: *** outta 5. There are times the WWE can make even some of the wildest fun decisions and tonight was one of them. Having Nitro redo his gimmick and make himself into Jim Morrison was wild and fun. He looks just like the guy and gets him mic time. Which he needed.
