Decent Batman title?

I've never read alot of Batman stuff, I have all the Simone BoP trades and I have read most of the Batgirl ones, also I have rereading the wargames crossover at the moment.

Are there currently any Batman (and friends) titles worth reading?

Dini and Morrison, the current batbook writers are excellent. I would recommend Batman:Detective trade which collects Dini's first 5 Detective Comics issues. Morrison's Batman and Son trade is scheduled for release on Aug.8, but will probably be delayed. Certainly read all of the classics like Year One and Dark Knight Returns. The Long Halloween is decent and in my opinion Dark Victory is better. It depends on your tastes. I pretty much will give any Batman story a chance, but that doesn't mean it won't bite me in the end. Robin is in excellent hands at the moment. Beechen understands how to make Tim Drake an interesting kid hero. I really enjoyed Matt Wagner's two Batman trades The Monster Men and The Mad Monk, great noir style stories.

Batman and Detective Comics are both worth it.

The others aren't really worth it though-

Robin- haven't been hearing good things

Nightwing - don't know if the opinion has changed w/Wolfman, but also not mush praise for the book OYL

All-Star Batman - a joke

Catwoman - I don't know

BOP - Also don't know

Batman/Superman - also a joke

I think that's all of them

Catwoman is one of DC's best titles right now. And I'm really liking the current arc in Batman Confidential (which just began).

Morrison's Batman and Dini's Detective. I like All-Star, but that isn't really Batman. Catwoman is also good.

Totally agree .... Detective comics is the best DC has at the moment!! If you can get your hands on 833 and 834 ... do it ... they are both brilliant.

Superman/Batman is so totally NOT a joke...

I LOVE this book.

In fact, right now, almost anything with the name Superman or Batman attached to it is just total f^ck(n! GOLD!

The only title I would probably recommend would be Batman. Now don't get me wrong, I always try to get the Detective and All-Star books but they don't get me really that excited.
