so i went with Sabretooth Lite, Dakken. Blah, blah, blah. Another wolverine connection and the same old issues as every other character with wolverine connections.
And you'd think that I would love a character that hated him...go fig. ;)

I would also like to see a complete reverse on an alternate Earth from Exiles in which the Hellfire Club is good & Charles Xavier's X-Men is evil. The Hellfire Club's Inner Circle is to find & train mutants in secret at Emma Frost's Massachusettes Academy, the Hellions & they eventually graduate to become Lords Cardinal. Sebastian Shaw is good person on this world. Xavier IS the Shadow King. Amahl Farouk is the deceased, good telepath who helps Sebastian Shaw find mutants...

The X-Men are murderous thugs. However, their secret identity is being "good" while the Hellfire Club is thought as infamous...

It's a nice twist on the idea...

My vote went for the Dark X-Men, as they're only a nose-hair different from the multitude of 'evil possessed X-Men', that have appeared in the comic over the years.

Still it was actually a tough one. Dakken hasn't really real appeal for me as yet, while Pan's plan was just....odd. Carey's villains can be a bit obscure. Escpecially around the Fenris period in Lucifer, motivation became this unusual creature, rarely to be seen in the book's pages.

Vulcan has the kind of simple backstory that could make him a long time threat. It's been said before but Magneto started out this way too. Maniac, crazy, bent on killing everyone. Yet the backstory led to so much more. Vulcan can be that kind of villian. Given more time and more fleshing out by Brubaker and Yost and other writers, he has the potential be up there w/ the big 3 of Magneto, Sinister and Apocalypse.

Not really. Read Chris Claremont's Shadow King stories in Uncanny X-Men #262-267 & Uncanny X-Men #269. The Shadow King talks about how he loves corrupting people & finding the shadow in their souls. The Shadow King is surprised by what he finds. It's why he wanted to corrupt Storm because her will is so strong & indomitable. If the Shadow King corrupted Ororo successfully, the other X-Men would follow.

Vulcan - Shows promise and has an interesting retconned existence. Could use development.

Pandemic - An ok villain but not really original, he seems like a mix of Mr. Sinister and Mimic.

The Children - Pretty cool in design and dangerous enough to be threats but I need to see more of them. Unfortunately most of the interesting ones were killed off before becoming longtime threats.

Ord - He's a charismatic villain if anything and he's a decent team wrecker but he works best with Danger with him.

Danger - I wasn't too thrilled with her conception but she's a really big threat to the Astonishing team and has an somewhat interesting personality.

The Facility - I don't know who they are.

Shadow X - Evil alternate X-Men, yawn.

Tryp - Great villain so far, he interesting past with Jamie Madrox and works well against the X-Factor team.

Dakken - A bit too angsty but he works as a villain for Wolverine due to built in psychological defenses against Wolverine.

Romulus - Too little shown of him so far to judge.

Looks like Shadow X is my worst new villains pick.
