The solicits are up, and GA/BC #1 on among them.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling that the BC on the cover isn't Dinah... I'm going to bet it might be Mia.

If I'm right, it might be a blessing considering that Judd is writing this series. I just _really_ hope that the build up to the wedding of GA and BC won't be the end of two popular comics heroes.

I'm hoping that maybe... MAYBE... the variant cover is Mia and Ollie... but knowing that a) the League is gonna lose a member, b) in an interview Dwayne McDuffie alludes to BC being hard to fit into League plans, and c) Dan Didio loving controversy... well, I have little to no faith.

Hmm....Canary being Mia would explain some things, I guess.

I am trying to ignore all about the book until it's out. I did flip through BC #1 while at Zeus and thought it was very, very good.

I'll still be ignoring it years after it comes out. It's criminal that Winick is allowed to write these characters.

And Connor still doesn't know how to shoot a bow.

Didio is pretty much pulling a Marvel Comics and daring the readersip to revolt like they did when Howard Mackie was kept after the Spider books all relaunched. Hell months later even Wizard said it best (and hell this is Wizard for gods sake) "Whats the point ? You may have lured a big fanbase with that 1# issue but you pissed them all away by keeping the same guy who didn't do anything before on the characters."

I'm definitely passing on this, but with Cliff Chiang drawing, doing so is still gonna take a little effort.

I'd consider buying a Connor and Mia book, I like both characters. However, I'd hate to see Mia shoehorned into a Black Canary role. She has no real reason to adopt that identity and Dinah Lance is far from depleted. In the end, the premise won't really matter to me as the writer alone will keep me away from the title.

I was excited about this, mostly for the art, until I realized that the GA was Connor and not Ollie. I'm sorry but when I hear about a 'Green Arrow/Black Canary' book I want Oliver Queen -- and I'm just a casual GA/BC fan.

Personally, I get queezy the way Winick seems to be working toward a Connor/Mia romance. They have always had a more brother/sister vibe to me.

But then... I don't think much of Winick's handling of any of these characters.

*sigh*

gotta remember though...it's got 22 covers....so it isn't necesarily connor in the book....it should and hopefully will involve the whole family. while I still think the book is going to suck I can't see them taking out Ollie at this point especially with the wedding having just happened

But that infers that we actually will HAVE a wedding.

Something tells me that 'I do' might not happen...
