Anybody else catch this new CelebReality show on VH1? I'm not usually a reality guy, but I found myself much more interested than I thought I would be. Maybe it's because, as he states in the animated intro, we've watched him grow up on TV and subsequently become a Hollywood bachelor legend.

I guess it just felt honest and he seemed sincere and sympathetic on-camera. Being in my mid 30's, I can also sympathize with his predicament. It doesn't seem "made-for-TV" or voyeuristic/exploitative...which I was fearing. You know, it's not "let's watch him melt down...that's good TV" or some contrived format.

"Doc Allie" definitely is the most grounded of the life coaches he interviewed. Obviously, she knows him from TV as well, but is giving him good advice and not just being starstruck and telling him what he wants to hear.

Wow! Erin Moran, Henry Winkler, Ron Howard's brother Clint, and Jason Hervey from The Wonder Years...all in the first ep? With all the ex-girlfirends (who so far seem to be friendly but firm with him when he needs it), I also get to relive crushes that he actually knew. Talk about a win/win! :)

Anyone else rooting for Chach...I mean Scott after watching this?

I tried watching this but was so bored by the material that I turned the channel to, coincidentally, another reality show, Man vs. Wild.

God no more reality shows. I dont care if he is 45 an single. Whatever happened to the Andrew Dice clay show. IT was on for a while and then just disappeared. VH1 has become a reality schlock channel. One of the better shows is the one on behind the scenes of the jerry springer show, but Scott baio naah. A bunch of has been actors all visiting him so they can get tv time again.

O.K., so i'm the only fan so far. :) I can understand your thoughts, drwho, but his life coach is having Scott revisit old girlfriends to get their input on his problem with making commitments. That's why Erin Moran a.k.a Joannie "Shortcake" Cunningham was on, he called Henry "The Fonz" for advice on marriage so Henry never appeared onscreen, Jason (Wayne Arnold) Hervey is one of his group of guy friends that he hangs out with, and Clint Howard was in his (very concerned) agent's office.

You're entitled to your opinion and maybe this wouldn't be your cup of tea, but it didn't feel to me like a put-on "very special guest-star" thing. He's famous, and these are some of the people in his life. BTW, let me say that I was a Happy Days fan (not really a Chachi enthusiast, or a Charles in Charge-er). So, my sympathy for Scott was unexpected. He has a good sense of humor about his life which helps to make me interested about how this turns out.

Scott Baio is androgynous enough that we can both fantasize about him.

Aw, screw it, let's just watch Krull.

Does vh1 play music anymore?

No. The only music you will catch is the background music unless you're up around early in the mornings to catch the videos.
