Since I don't have the Season 1 DVD, I was glad to see USA replay some of the episodes late night all last week and have a Monk/Psych marthon on Friday leading up to each series' season 2 premieres. Pardon the pun, but rediscovering the show really had me Psych-ed for the new season.
Seeing as I am not an Idol worshipper, the premise didn't thrill me but it was pretty well done. A little too much with Gina Gershon's Paula character for my taste, but otherwise solid if not spectacular. Lassiter took a back seat, which I understand, but sad to see his moments wasted mainly in the 'B' plot.
Favorite moments? Nigel's showdown with Shawn's father, Juliet's choreography session with the guys, and the prints/Prince pun they "spoiled" in the preview. :D I almost expected Jules to quote the Fame-ous line about "paying in sweat".
I'm not psychic, so feel free to share what you guys thought about it. :)

A show I'm never looking forward too....but I enjoy the hell out of it every time I watch it. That sums up Psych to me. It's my wife's favorite show, and she loves it. I liked the season opener, and I think Lassie again proved he was the best character on the show with the episode.
The only problem with the episode.....man, has Tim Curry gotten a little....well pudgy. I mean, he's looking like Mama Cass with a beard nowdays. Oh, well screw it Tim Curry is still one of the coolest f'in actors of all time.

Wasn't sure about this show, when it first came out. Now, it is easily one of my top ten shows along with Monk,Eureka,The Closer and Batlestar Galatica.

Season 1 only just started here, but I've seen up to 11. Has there only been one episode of Season 2?

Yep. I know you can't comment on the new season, but how do you like the show so far?

I enjoy it. There are some funny lines in there, and I like the characters. It feels a little bit like there's something missing, but I don't know what it is so I can't really complain.

I like the show and it constantly surprises my at how clever it can be at times, but I think they push it just a little too far with the pop-culture commentary sometimes. I mean, when you have shows like The Soup, Best Week Ever, or even things like Family Guy and The Simpsons, who needs to hear yet another obscure reference to some old popsinger from the 1980's? While I enjoy the show, the banter between Gus and Sean seems forced at times, and I think thats something that could be improved. Otherwise I find it pretty fun most of the time.

I loved it. I forgot when the 2nd season started so I got the episode of iTunes. And Monk started again too, which is always a good thing

I enjoy the show, sometimes I am not really looking forward to it, but I never regret watching it. I find it best to ignore the mystery and just enjoy Sean and Gus work off each other. For me the show is all about those two actors working well together. I do like the rest of the cast, but if not for the main characters I'd not watch the show.

USA's line is all character-based drama with humor thrown in generously. and it really is fun to watch. plus, aside from the odd murder, psych is not depressing at all. and despite the ADDness, i never once felt like smacking a main character.

The supporting cast is really good, too; specifically Corbin Bernsen as Shawn's grumpy, retired-cop dad as well as the guy who plays Lassiter. Agreed that the appeal and the humor in the show is the characters and how well they play off each other, as opposed to the mysteries or the cases themselves. Same with Monk, actually.

They're this decade's "Murder,She Wrote", but hipper and funnier.

Who saw this weeks episode?
I did. Kind of lop-sided in the flow, but still funny and even had more of a mystery than usual. Though I would have thought that "Little" Shawn would have been lower down the back...

Well, Shawn figured out that they were selling drugs through hollowed hubcaps or do you mean the very end?
Where Shawn and Gus were back at the spa looking to get a massage from Gloria and she only had an opening for couples. Shawn saud sure, but Gus,in a huff, said no and then they went off arguing about why or why not to have a massage together.

I love psych. I love that they have started some of their own running gags like the Pineapples. However the best part is that Gus and Shawn are sorta cowards such as when they ran out of the house screaming when they thought it was haunted.
The mysteries aren't bad really. I like that they have some twists. My Girlfriend and I look forward to new psych episodes.
