Wow. Tony Bedard. Now that Outsiders has a good writer, I'm actually going to start picking it up.

(Though I still hate Grace and Thunder.)

I'm not enthused about the premise of the title as described in the interview, but the line-up is somewhat interesting. I don't know that I'll get it.

I was thinking the opposite, I like the idea.

This tension between Punishment and Redemption will be a main source of conflict. There’s also the question of whether someone is fated to be bad, or if they can break their own cycle of evil. I want to explore the whole idea of Good versus Evil and then go beyond those labels

Good stuff. :)

Looking forward to this. And he does *not* leave the JLA.

Bedard was excellent on Negation, think I'll follow this for at least the first arc.

Cool, I can start reading Outsiders now. :D I liked the new lineup, but thought Winnick was staying on the title.

This sounds pretty intriguing actually. Basically a DC version of the X-Men, but without all of the god-awful baggage that the X-Men comics have taken on.

Well, this book has now gone from my "Pass" list to my "I'll Think About It" list.

Not a big fan of Bedard. So this goes from my "want to read" to my "I'll see about it" list.

His ideas as stated in that article seem to be a match to the "dark and violent" DC a lot of us claim we've been tired of lately though. That makes me iffy. I don't need sweetness and light but I though the whole New Earth thing was at least supposed to be a PARTIAL reboot to a slightly less extreme DCverse. Countdown plus this make me think not.

I actually liked Outsiders while Winnick was on it, but this seems more like what the book was billed to be in the first place. It looks like it will have undercover, which in a super hero book is f-ing awsome, more intensity, and hopefully another running afoul of Checkmate. I really want to see that again, get a chance to see Mr. Terrific and Batman pitting their pawns against each others, building to a JSA vs JLA genuis battle.
