Jim Lee has revealed one page from the all-star batman 8, here (http://bp1.blogger.com/_j00PDhcWMlE/RpLnzIC9PnI/AAAAAAAAAXY/_EqCCzMlaew/s1600-h/BatmanRobin8p16sm.jpg), he also says there is a "clue" on this page, but i just can't see it. I guess with this number 8 "page revealing" they are trying to say that they're back on track and there won't be any delays anymore, like: we are already working on number #8 even if #6 isn't out! And as we all know, there is an old Jim Lee's artwork for #6 here (http://bp2.blogger.com/_j00PDhcWMlE/Ri1mhPgzcVI/AAAAAAAAANY/G0FXaESA1vY/s1600-h/BatmanRobin6cvrsm.jpg).

It's supposed to come out on July 25th. I don't know if there will be any cool story development or just plane smashing and bashing from the goddamn batman, but i am looking forward to it :)

But what can we expect from it? Definitely cool Jim Lee artwork, but as for the story? The JLA, Robin, Vicki Vale and Huntress are already introduced to the story, there is also the mystery to who is behind the Grayson killings, and cover has bat-girl on it... i don't know, maybe the beginning of Robin's training, or Huntress joining the Bat, maybe first contact between JLA and Bats... what do you think?

What will the Goddamn Batman do next? Find out on July 25th... or, share your thoughts with us, right here right now!

Feel free to respond to this post, but please, keep your posts ON TOPIC. If you just want to bash or defend this series, save your breath. Been there, done that. Off topic responses will be deleted.

Shouldn't he be fighting the JLA by this point in the series? Wasn't Miller and/or Lee saying that things were heading towards a confrontation between (The Goddamned) Batman and the JLA?

There's a couple of stray lines in the background of that one page. Could they be used to indicate that Batman is dodging heat vision blasts?

Also, no in costume Dick Grayson with him. Does this mean Dick hasn't earned the Robin title yet?

What will the Goddamn Batman do next?

I was going to make some dinner, and watch a movie.

As for the clue, I don't see it either. But, I'm not even sure I care. Hopefully, in the next issue or so, we'll see more of Dick, than Batman. I mean, it is about Dick/Robin, and he didn't have much in the last issue.

I guess this series is somewhere around 12-15 issues, so plenty of time I suppose, but still.

Oh, and it's Black Canary, not Huntress.
;)

You have a sharp eye man, it looks like heat vision! But it also could be a beam of light from the Gotham city police who's trying to catch the bat... heat vision or not, it should come out on time so we will know "soon" enough, and by "soon" i mean "september" :)

And as for the story arc length, is all-star meant to be published all-time, or it will just be one-shot? I mean, All-star superman has almost a different story each issue, and Batman has one story... whatever it is. So, when they finish this one, that you predict that will last 12-15 issues, will it continue, or will it stop? That is the question...

P.S. Who else thinks that Batman Confidential is badly drawn?

All-Star Superman, although often being described as having 'stand-alone issues' does still have an over-riding story arc although it's not exactly crucial to read the previous issue to understand the current one (Bizarro story aside). When Miller and Lee are finished on all-star another creative team will work on it, presumably telling a different story with a different feel.

Do you mean the first arc with Batman and Lex Luthor? If so, yes,. it was awful. Dreadfully inconsistent and a really laughable-looking Batman. If you mean the current Joker origin arc then no, it's great to look at. Sometimes I wonder that art like Jim Lee's detailed and perfect work makes people dislike work which is a bit rough-looking but I loove Cowan's sketchy style.

Yeah, i meant the first story arc of the confidential series, the first 6 issues... batman looked like a junkie! But this new stuff i good. Although, Bruce reading a book upside down? C'mon...

Has anyone heard anything on the all-star batman that hasn't been said? Any rumors, inside info, like: will they be on track from now on, how long will the series run, and so?

Okay. I saw the page. I'm seeing Batman ... well, it looks like he's flying, not swinging on a batrope or anything in the first panel. Note that he's about bridge level, and definitely under the tops of the buildings. In the second pamnel, he's ABOVE the rooftops, and falling TOWARDS them. So if there's a "clue" I'm gunna guess that they aren't all the same "Batman", that one of them is an imposter ... The first Batman is Superman, perhaps? One of the JLA? Or perhaps the three "batmen" in the second panel are ... it's not one man falling, but three different Batman imposters?

Well, that's my guess, for what it's worth ...

The next issue is really gunna come out July 25th? Of THIS year? What happenned that's getting them closer to being back on track alluvasudden?

First off thanks for the pages, freaking awesome, secnd thanks for the warning of the negitive pose deleation, very frefreshing to look at a topic and see people who are excited about a title and its work.

now for the pades themselves, Batman is the best he has ever looked in any seried in my humble opinion, hes just stunning.

The page taht shows the ladies looks fantastic too, Im loving the nunchucks in Canary's hand and the detail on the grappel in Batgirls.

Im wondering if in this series Dick will adopt the Nightwing mantel sooner due to the edge of the book, Im hoping so, not to say I want him to leave to go on his own so soon, id rather it be Batman and Nightwing. But i think he would want to get with the flow of the other characters, we havnet seen the 'final' take on the Robin suit, and I know its a time honored suit, but come on... he called the batmobile 'gay' and he's going to bound about in a tunic and panties? Not to say thats gay or anything but I would think he would want a 'cooler' outfit from his reactions and the way he is in this book.

I think the long gap where it didn't come out was done so that Jim Lee could get back up to date and they could then get them out on a regular basis. I suspect #5 could have come out months ago but there would have then been another long gap while we saited for #6.

I hope #6 furthers the journey Dick makes in order to become Robin (amidst all the issues surrounding this book like delays, plotholes, fan reaction etc I keep forgetting that this story is primarily a Robin origin!) and we see more from the Justice League, perhaps with Batman becoming accepted by them. For the first time I am really really looking forward to seeing where this book goes now.

I believe that's supposed to be Black Canary, not Huntress (just with a similar mask).

It's Black Canary, that's how she appeared in Issue #3, when she went on her bar-room brawl ass whippin frenzy.

Dude, he's not even Robin yet, slow down. Also, the point of the book is for there to be a series staring Batman and ROBIN. Dick Grayson as ROBIN. Not Nightwing. He's already got a book.;)

Well, because DC said this series is not canonical i don't know what to expect from the story... and this is a "tie-in" to the DKR so everything is possible. I think it is "too early" to have a solid opinion on Robin's part in the story, i mean, he only appeared so far in the car chase scenes and rat eating scenes :)

Someone said that Miller and Lee are gonna be the writer/pencils duo on the first story arc, with this tempo will there be a second story arc? And even if it happens, i think that only Michael Turner and/or Benes could do the pencils right, but as for the script... Jeph Loeb? And is he really retired from the comic business?

Loeb's at Marvel now. He's writing for the next Ultimates books.

Loeb and Sale could do a great run on All Star. It could pick up right after Dark Victory... but alas, it's not meant to be.
