Can anyone confirm whether the initial seven appearances of The Creeper (Ditko's 1968 creation) have ever been reprinted?
Have they been collected in a trade or are they slated for a Showcase/Essential collection soon?
Another fan suggested combining them with Hawk and Dove (how many issued did they run? 12? 10?) for an interesting view of his late 1960s hero work.
Some others suggested Blue Beetle or Question, but were they DC properties?
What order did his work appear in?
Spider-Man...Dr. Strange... Blue Beetle? Question? then Creeper and Hawk & Dove?
Please help me.
Has there been a volume produced that looks at these creations and their creator, Steve Ditko yet?

...... Captain Atom (1960-61;65-67), Blue Beetle (1967-68) and The Question (1967-68), Creeper (in Showcase #73, March-April 1968), The Hawk and the Dove in Showcase #75, (Sept.-Nov. 1968) Beware the Creeper (June 1968 - April 1969)
or so says wikipedia

"Ditko shared a Manhattan studio with noted fetish artist Eric Stanton" - yow!

Wow! That's incredible!
I had no idea the man was so prolific! And to think that he tolerated Eric Stanton to boot! Has that been documented?
Ditko is such a sheltered, private individual, resisting all attempts at interviews. He's a real enigma!
Has ANYONE done a definitive work on the man?
Thanks so much for the look-up, ultramandingo!:)

-> Shade the Changing Man (which I liked) -> Speedball (which I didn't like)
Nitpicking : Speedball is a Marvel character.
I've been saying for a while that DC should "copy" Marvel's "Visionaries" series of compilations, and the first one they should do is Ditko. I'd welcome collections of The Creeper, Hawk and Dove, Shade and Starman.

To argue with your nitpick, people have been mentioning Spider-Man and Doctor Strange since the beginning of the thread. I was just continuing the "Man, Ditko was prolific" idea.

I rather like the idea of a Creeper Showcase, but are there enough Creeper stories to pad out a 500-page volume? Without having to reach all the way to the late '90s series, of course.

According to www.dcuguide.com, with guesstimated page numbers by me:
Showcase #73 = 20 pages
Beware the Creeper #1-6 +120 = 140
Brave and the Bold #80 +20 = 160
Justice League of America #70 +20 = 180
Detective Comics #418 +20 = 200
Detective Comics #445 (skipping because it's just Jack Ryder doing news report)
Detective Comics #447-448 +40 = 240
Joker #3 +20 = 260
First Issue Special #7 +20 = 280
Super-Team Family #2 +20 = 300
Adventure Comics #445-447 +24 = 324
Teen Titans Vol. 1 #46 (skipping because it's just Jack Ryder doing news story)
Secret Society of Super-Villains #9-10 +40 = 364
World's Finest Comics #249 +8 = 372
World's Finest Comics #250 +28 = 400
World's Finest Comics #250-255 +48 = 448
Showcase #100 (May 1978) +20 = 468
Brave and the Bold #143 +20 = 488
Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #2 (skipping because never published)
Brave and the Bold #178 +20 = 508
Flash Vol. 1 #318-323 +48 = 556
Action Comics #563 (skipped because it's just Jack Ryder)
Red Tornado #3 (skipped because it's just a small appearance and part of a larger story)
Blue Devil Annual #1 (1985): +20 = 576
(then you get into the Crisis)
I'm probably off by a few pages, but you could certainly do a book that was all pre-Crisis Creeper.

Has ANYONE done a definitive work on the man?
........A documentary about Mr. Ditko is under production, entitled In Search of Steve Ditko . It will be produced by Jonathan Ross for the BBC Four. Although Mr. Ditko has been interviewed by Mr. Ross, he will not appear in the documentary.
